"Vitality at Frederica was very impressive. We visited the memory care and it appeared to be more of a resort than an actual stereotypical nursing home. The staff was very polite and friendly. I felt it was nice and clean. The corridors were wide open and well-lit. It was just a very nice facility. I had the pleasure of meeting the physical therapist. Then I saw the physical therapy workout area and it was well-equipped. The young lady that gave me the tour, Laurie, was very forthcoming and very generous with information. Everybody I ran into from the concierge to the person who's in charge of transportation, and everybody else was very, very professional and very pleasant. The dining area was well accommodated. There were several of the residents there eating. Some were in wheelchairs while others had walkers and there was adequate room for their plates, utensils, and drinking glasses. They fit very comfortably under the table. It was a nice setup. It was just a great overall experience."

"Fairhaven excels in all facets of assisted living. The administrative staff was extremely helpful during our initial inquiries even mailing info to another state for our review. All of the caregivers are tremendous. There are numerous social activities planned every day. Fairhaven even hosts a family dinner for the residents and their relatives. They treat the residents as family members. The caregivers in all their interactions demonstrate that they truly CARE about the residents and their well-being. They are attentive to the needs of individual residents and provide truly individualized care to each resident. While not a skilled nursing facility, if the residents chose there is a local physician that will make house calls to Fairhaven to visit his patients. I would recommend Fairhaven to anyone in need of assisted living. My family has been blessed to have such wonderful folks to provide care for our family member. "

"We have been living at Marsh’s Edge for 5 months. We had been living in Florida and longed to be closer to our children. They lived in South Carolina. Marsh’s Edge was perfectly situated as it was about hallway from our children and my mother in Florida. We looked at several communities in South Carolina and Florida. The island and community atmosphere really set this community apart. We enjoy golf, fishing, bingo, ping pong and the pool. The aquatic exercise program has done us a ton of good. You can be a part of the wellness program, bridge, rummikub, etc. It is a peace of mind to know that there is always some one here. The staff and the people here are unbelievable. Our advice is to make the move as soon as you can. It is truly important to feel a sense of community. I encourage you to visit during the week. There are so many activities going on. I also encourage visiting the community multiple times. We first visited on a weekend and we saw gentlemen playing ping pong. It instantly felt like home. You get to know everyone very quickly. It is family here. The healthcare options here were a huge factor. It is nice to know that it is there if you need it. "

"Magnolia Manor is further from me, a little older, and only had studio apartments. The staff was very friendly, but it didn’t meet my needs. "

"Magnolia Manor of St Simons' apartments had a lot of square footage, which I liked. It was an older place. They had a dining facility and you're only required to take one meal there. Any other meal you eat, you pay for. I liked the price, and they had pretty grounds. The person I met there was very nice."
