I toured Commodore Park Plaza. It was bright and airy in the lobby and the hallways. Although I didn't get to see a unit as they're all occupied, the place was very clean. They had fire extinguishers and bars along the hallways for emergencies. Additionally, there were smoke detectors, sprinkler systems on the second floor, and a working elevator. They have cabinetry sitting in the hallway. I would have moved my mom there in a heartbeat if it was assisted living. Jeff, the manager, is delightful and helpful.

About Commodore Park Plaza in Anchorage, Alaska
Welcome to Commodore Park Plaza! Commodore Park Plaza consists of 24 one-bedroom apartments. Apartments are specifically designed with seniors in mind. Each apartment offers a full size furnished kitchen, the remainder of the apartment is unfurnished so go ahead and bring your favorite furniture, books, treasures, or anything else important to you. Rent includes all utilities except for telephone and cable television. Rent subsidies are available for those who qualify. Commodore Park Plaza offers various regularly scheduled resident activities. We have a centrally located multipurpose room featuring a gas fireplace and common kitchen, perfect for hosting resident pot-lucks, bingo games and birthday parties. A coin operated laundry room is available on the second floor for resident use and is easily accessible by elevator as is the entire facility. On-site resident parking is available equipped with headbolt heater plugs. Pets are allowed, contact the office for a copy of our pet policy.
