NOT ALL HOMECARE COMPANIES ARE ALIKE!
THE SYNERGY HOMECARE DIFFERENCE: WHAT WE DO THAT OTHERS DON'T:
We're the the homecare provider who has partnerships where our clients can receive a house call from a Doctor. (With payment provided by Medicare in most cases). Even at night, weekends, and holidays. Does your doctor make house calls? If you love your doctor, that's fine, you can still use the service just for emergencies instead of dealing with long waits at an Emergency Room or Urgent Care center.
We're the only homecare provider who has partnerships with Podiatrists who are accepting new patients! (With payment provided by Medicare in most cases). The service can be as simple as Seniors just getting their toenails cut, which is way more difficult than it might have been 40 or 50 years ago for many elderly clients.
It's also part of our caregivers job to make sure expired/spoiled food is not in the refrigerator! Best case scenario is the risk that the client just eats something that tastes bad; worse case is that it can cause food poisoning. It's not even a matter of dementia being involved. People just become more forgetful as they age and don't always check for expiration dates or produce quality before biting into something that might be expired or partially moldy.
ALL OF OUR CAREGIVERS ARE LICENSED BONDED AND INSURED CERTIFIED CAREGIVERS
For clients dealing with some form of dementia, sometimes financial assistance is available that we can help the client with. It's also company policy to assign 1 main caregiver per client, so that way the client is not having to deal with a new face walking through the front door every time.
Unlike most of our competitors, We Don't Have Minimums! Care is based on your budget, not ours.
Other services provided are:
Companionship, Errands and transportation, meal prep, light housekeeping, laundry, changing bed sheets, dressing, grooming, walking, Fall Prevention (including getting in and out of bed), getting up, bathing, toileting, medication reminders, exercise support, RESPITE CARE for current family/friends who are acting as Caregivers, Cognitive support for clients dealing with dementia (including maintaining client's calendar for both personal and medical visits).
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OUR CAREGIVERS AND A PRIVATE CAREGIVER? DOES THE CAREGIVER HAVE THE OPTION TO SUE THE PATIENT IF THERE'S A TRIP AND FALL AT THE HOME?
Our caregivers don't have that option as they are our employee. Any injury is covered by workers comp, not the client. A private caregiver does have the option to sue you. Sometimes frivolous lawsuits are filed in California, which always involve attorney's fees. If, despite our extensive screening process, there is a theft, does the caregiver pay the client? Our company or our insurance provider pays the client. The caregiver will be dealing with attorney fees at that point as we will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.
