I'm in the process of getting my mom into Inland Christian Home, Inc. I liked that it was very clean. It was very nice that they recently remodeled, so everything was nice. I liked that it's a one-story building. Their pricing was pretty competitive overall, in comparison to other facilities. I also liked the fact that they were a little bit more flexible and accommodating as far as visiting time. Their medication management was included at no extra cost. It was part of their care package. You would pay for the room but you also would have to pay for the level of care. So, I didn't feel like they would nickel and dime you, like extra for this, extra for that. There's not going to be a surprise. I also liked the fact that they are Christian-based and they're a nonprofit. So, they care about their patients and encourage them. I saw their menu and it looked pretty good and pretty healthy.

I have been a resident of Inland Christian Home for several years now. I like the friendliness of the people, it's like a family, and it's a Christian atmosphere. The grounds are kept up, I don't have anything to complain about yet. I have a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom, with a laundry room apartment that's about over 1200 square feet. The housekeeping comes twice a month and the utilities are all included. We have Wi-Fi for $20, it has a TV and in-house stuff that's going on, plus the menus for the dining room. They give us like HBO and Cinemax and stuff like that for free. The activities were sort of curtailed because of COVID, we used to do a lot more things but we're slowly getting back. Once a month, we have dinner in the Friendship Center and we have entertainment, it's a fun time for everybody to get together. They have an ice cream social once a month, they have a walking group, a dog park, and there's a day when they have games. It's not necessarily card games, it's just for people to play different games. They have refreshments, sometimes, like last month, we had somebody doing hula dancers and stuff like that. Everybody has a patio or a terrace, and the grounds look like a garden everywhere you go. If you want food, you can purchase it from the dining room. We have a full kitchen. Their dining area has tables and chairs and tablecloths, it's just a dining room. But they also have outdoor dining if you want that. Our maintenance group is excellent, if something breaks down, they're right there fixing it. The staff in the assisted living are there, if we need help we have buttons to push and they're right there when you need them. And the people in the office are the best. Everybody is great here so I'm not willing to move, it's just that every year some things go up and I currently pay $2900.

Right now, my mom is at Inland Christian Home. The assisted living there is really expensive, and I don't think they take Medicare. But my mom's in the skilled nursing and she has medical, so they pay for that. They have group activities. The layout is like two person per room and it's clean. I went in the room a couple of times and it's very clean. They kept it clean, which is really nice, and the people are really friendly. Right now, because of the COVID thing, they are really careful. You have to have your vaccination, the booster, and the rapid test to see them, which I totally understand. I know they have bingo. It's also a Christian home so they do devotion and Bible study. They also have games, but I can't remember what kind of games. They have different games on different days. If they want to participate the patients can, but they don't have to. It is nice that they keep them busy. The staff are pretty helpful and friendly. The dining area is very clean. My mom is on a strict diet because she's diabetic. The food looks good, and she likes it. Because they're so strict on the policy, sometimes I get annoyed, but I can understand why. To me the assisted living is kind of expensive, but they have nurses 24/7, so I can understand that. But to me, it could be lower.

My sister stayed in Inland Christian Home, Inc. for rehab. It was very good. The lady who helped us is a sociologist. She's the one who operates the transition in and out and communicates with the doctors. She was really, really thorough. Everything is so nice and clean. Their equipment and people's ability are good. They were able to get her up on a lift and give her a shower, which she hadn't had for years. She had been getting sponge baths, and she began to look really good in her legs where she had lymphedema. They took care of that. She didn't really like the food, but she had to be on a puréed diet for a while because she would choke. Everybody was so nice; I would recommend it to anybody. We talked with them, and we didn't have any problems. Everything went smoothly; I couldn't have asked for a better place. The dietician only comes in once a week, so on the second week, we went and talked with her, and she got a change because she had improved. The physical therapy was good. They had two people working with her because she did not want to do anything.

I've been to Inland Christian Home. I was struck with the cleanliness, the freshness, and the size of the apartments. It is a facility to strive for. It had wide doorways, room to get around in a wheelchair or walker, big bathrooms, and handicapped accessible showers. They had a library, a lovely garden, and the staff was very pleasant.

Everything that I’ve seen at Inland Christian is great. My mother will move in there. I went without an appointment, and I’m happy with everything I saw. I’m happy with the cleanliness and the people.

Inland Christian Home has nurses and an actual rehab center. They have outdoor activities; they’re very secure and safe. They also have daily activities but I’m not sure if they follow up with a schedule. What I like about it is they have senior apartment living on the same ground as memory care and assisted living.

I would never ever use this facility again. The care was substandard, unless there is a survey going on & they bend over backwards to make it seem good. I had to continually ask the nurses there to give my spouse medicine to keep him calm. They let him fall & injure himself. He got a bedsore from their neglect. The nurse director is worthless and lies. Sad, bad place.
