I toured Landmark At Monastery Heights. It was horrible, I didn't care for the place at all. The rooms were very small, it was very dark, it was old, and it was very rundown. The residents seemed very happy there, but I didn't care for it personally. The rooms were extremely small. The staff member who toured us was very nice and very helpful. They need to update the facility. The carpets were stained and worn, they need to change the carpeting and uproot it. It needs an overhaul. It could be a very pretty place if they were to make the rooms bigger, knock out the walls between rooms so that the two rooms are one, and modernize it.

Landmark at Monastery Heights was very clean and neat. The staff was very accommodating and the person who toured us was a wealth of information, very cooperative, and helpful. She understands my situation and gave me several alternatives or options. It was very good. The room I saw was very good, clean, and neat. The bathroom was spotless and the kitchenette was good. The cafeteria downstairs was very good and had a small area where you can set up your own meals, which was also very clean. The facility was obviously older which was originally built and run by the Catholic church and its now converted into an assisted living center, so it has some age on it but it didn't deter from the quality of the place.

Landmark at Monastery Heights looks like more of a place for living than a warehouse for dying. I just had a positive impression of it. The staff was engaging with the residents. The place smelled clean and the grounds were really nice. You have to furnish the room yourself, but they have a small kitchenette area with a sink and a fridge. There's also a twin bed. They have private and semi-private rooms. They have a restaurant for the assisted living community, but they cook the meals inside the dementia unit so they have a small kitchen in there. The menu looked good. I talked to one of the assisted living residents and I asked her if she liked it, and she said she loved her and would recommend it, so that's positive. It looked like the residents were fairly happy. It's in an old monastery, and they have a chapel since the place is religious.

I simply cannot say enough positive things about their marketing manager Tracey M. Who moved heaven on earth to help us in placing my Father. I was so pleased with all this facility had to offer, but most impressed with Tracy . !!!!!!!!

My grandmother lived at Monastery Heights for almost 3 years and she loved it. She felt safe and cared for and really enjoyed the staff. The staff treated her like family and they always went above and beyond. She made many good friends while there and loved bingo and yoga. Her apartment that we decorated was bright and sunny and very charming. We were very happy and miss visiting the residents and staff.

Landmark (Landmark at Monastery Heights) has really beautiful chapels in which residents could worship and pray. It is a very lovely facility but we found the rooms darker than my mother-in-law would have liked. Being an artist, and loving the brightness of daylight, she prefers light and airiness in her surroundings as well as her sleeping quarters. The outdoor area was dark and located in the back of the building; Residents need an employee to accompany them should they wish to go outside to the enclosed courtyard. The beds in the shared room were in close proximity to each other; ie, side by side. It could be acceptable but there is no privacy for the resident. The price was within decent range. The activities were nicely resident centered and wonderfully kept the residents occupied for much of the day. I am certain that Monastery Heights is very attractive to many folks, but since Mom is not religious she would not benefit from use of the beautiful chapels. For her was not the right fit.

Landmark at Monastery Heights was beautiful. Their accommodations were meager, but the warmth of the people was excellent. They were welcoming, helpful, and gracious. If you go in there and you run out of money, they wouldn’t throw you out on the street -- which I thought was really nice. Their price was quite reasonable, and the place was in a good location.

Landmark at Monastery Heights had very small rooms, so my mother-in-law would not have been happy. The grounds were beautiful, and everything was fine until they showed us the room. It is a pretty place. The inside is very well-maintained, and there is a lot of wood trim especially in the chapel. The chapel is beautiful, the dining room is beautiful, the library and the reading rooms and all that. I probably would have chosen this place except for the room that they wanted to give her was very small; she would not have been happy. Once we saw the room, we knew that it wasn’t going to work.
