We visited Wake Assisted Living, and they were amazing. Right now, it's at the top of our list. They spent an hour with us, we talked and met the residents. People are well cared for and very happy. It was nice and beautiful. They held 58 people, and it has shared rooms. They had a lot to offer, including great locations close to a hospital.

If you care for your relative, think twice before sending hem to a facility. I transferred my mother there from another facility, so she would be in the same city as myself. At first she was happy there in her room with her roommate. But after they had an issue, my mother was transferred to another room, and then she was never happy again. The room she was transferred to had a different look and feel to it. The bed she was given to sleep in had a wooden footboard with tall wooden poles up. Sure it would hurt if you were to fall into those at night. In hindsight I feel this could be a major safety issue. Shortly afterwards, there was an accident which was not documented and my mother was not sent to the hospital until days later. Was I notified after her fall? NO, not until the ambulance had come to carry her to the hospital on the Monday afternoon. Her bruises had already started turning a yellow color by the time she was admitted at the hospital. As for the facility not one person there came to visit her or called to check on her at the hospital. Everyone I spoke with knew nothing about her fall. Even though two people helped her up that night. No documentation....all hush hush....swept under the rug. I give this facility a negative one star rating.

This facility really cares about the residents health and well being while giving them the felling of independence. The nursing staff goes above and beyond the scope of their job to personally care for the residents. The reason why I give this facility a 3 star rating is because they can do a little better in the maintenance and up keep of the buildings and ground keeping. on several of my visits, there has been litter in the grassy areas and the floors inside could be maintained a bit better. But overall, it is the care that the residents receive and this facility provides the residents with great care.

My family recently visited Wake Assisted Living to evaluate its potential for accommodating the needs and concerns of my aging grandfather, who has recently suffered from the damaging effects of a stroke. We found this facility to in most ways be fully capable of his daily care and needs, as well as offering a clean and comfortable environment for the rest of his time in life. The staff were extremely courteous and knowledgeable in all aspects of caring for the aging community. Residents of the facility seemed to be in good spirits and had positive things to say about their experience there.
