I broke my hip 10 months ago and was progressing rapidly until about a week ago when I started having severe pain again. The pain comes and goes. I can often sit, get up and have no pain. The next time I set down and then get up I can hardly walk.

Pain after hip surgery is common but should always be checked by your doctor. Sometimes there are specific actions or treatments that help with the pain. First, be sure to talk with your doctor and you can always ask to see a pain specialist if you are not certain of possible options.
