My husband was a patient at Montowese for several months, on and off. He was a very difficult patient but the staff were infinitely patient and provided magnificent care - saving his life twice through timely intervention. The most impressive aspect to me, as I visited daily, was how clean it was and how it never smelled anything but clean. I established an excellent working relationship with all staff members and several went "beyond the call of duty" to help me out. My only complaint is that my husband was discharged too soon, on the basis of his own insistence, but the administrative nurse who discharged him is no longer working at the facility.

After going through multiple surgeries my father was not doing very well. We decided to bring him to Montowese because of a friends recommendation. We were very happy with the professionalism that we received and strongly believe that my father is doing so much better because of the care that he received at Montowese. So I would like to thank all the staff and my friend Brian who recommended me going to Montowese for my father. I hope you have the same success their

Our experience at Montowese was Wonderful, and my family and I will be forever greatful. My Aunt stayed there 4 weeks after complicated stomach surgery Aug /Sept.2015. All the Nursing staff on the second floor were quite attentive and very caring, The CNA's answered her call bell timely and treated her kindly. The Nurses were excellent and made sure my aunt's pain was managed well. Her Nurse always explained to her about her medications so she knew what she was taking. The wound care nurse followed her closely and her wound healed without complication. The secretary at the desk was great. She helped us with doctor appointments and transportation. Thank You, Her physical and occupational therapy helped her get back on her feet again and regain her strength. The Discharge Nurse set up my Aunt with a visiting nurse and ordered equipment for her apartment. Recreation had 2 activities daily. The place is clean and bright, Food was good and the kitchen always accomodated my aunt with her "picky" appetite. My Aunts roomate told us she this was her 4th stay here and Montowese is the only place she'd go. We AGREE!!! We will recommend Montowese highly and return if ever the need arises A++++ Thank You again, All of you

My mother was there for 2 months, I know why the owners own half of North Haven, they are cheap, over work the staff, minimal staffing available at all times. They want to come across as a Rehab yet they staff as a long term care facility, that's the license they chose to hold. My mother became incontinent by the end of her stay because pts wait so long for help to the bathroom they go in their pants. PT was effective and she always said the food was good. You have to pay for cable and the phone which is ridiculous considering they get $440 a day for a shared room. Some day these people will have to meet their maker and explain how they have treated people!!!!

When my family did a walk through to see the facility we were very impressed as to what we saw. Your staff is wonderful and all your aides are very friendly and supportive. I can't say enough about your physical therapy department, I had Frank and he was wonderful, he knew exactly what I needed to do to and I was happy seeing myself get better on a daily basis. I would recommend Montowese to everyone.

My brother was discharged from there I asked that all his personal items were put in a bag. They told me they did had to go back they lost his cell phone. His electric shaver and his prized Yankee jacket. The only thing I recovered from there was his cell phone. I guess some one has a nice new Yankee jacket

My mother was a patient there and I cannot say enough BAD things about it. We finally moved her to another location. I will keep it short and sweet but here are some of the things that compelled us to move her: bad attitude of the staff, appallingly understaffed, lack of medical oversight, never the same nurse for multiple days in a row, never-and I mean never-is there a CNA available when you need them, food is awful, no continuity of care. The straw that broke the camels back was that I went to visit one day and my mother mental state was alarmingly altered and none of the staff noticed. It was a reaction to a change in medication. She was actually admitted to the hospital only after I dragged the nurse practitioner into her room. She then had to call the doctor (who was unavailable at the time) and then finally made the call to admit her on her own. This happened just after a nurse had been into my mothers room and didn't even notice. I could not move her fast enough after that.
