I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom has been at Fox Ridge Bryant for 3 years. The facility is nice. The food that I've tasted has been good, and all of her meals have looked very nice and wonderful, and she hasn't complained about any of that. They do group activities. They also do outings. Transportation can be a little iffy. They have their own van and bus that takes them, but sometimes it's hit or miss if the transportation guy is available or not. We've had issues with communication about doctor's appointments. The communication from staff is probably my biggest problem. They don't communicate very well with us. They never brought us in for a family meeting to talk about this, to see if we could help with anything that was going on and things like that. The nurse practitioner would change her medication without telling anyone. She does have some nurses and CNAs who do have her call us. So, there are some that do and then there are others that don't. I've seen some of the people that work there are just lazy. They don't want to deal with her or deal with certain patients. They don't always clean the room. We've come in and it's been a mess. These things didn't happen until they changed management, and the head of nursing, and all of those things have changed. That's when we started seeing all of this happen when they made those changes. A lot of the people that work there are very nice and very courteous. There seems to be a problem with the upper level of staff who don't want to communicate. Their maintenance staff is very nice and very friendly. Their cooks and kitchen staff are nice. The receptionists are very nice. All the residents there are very nice. No one seems like they're not happy there. They do activities. They're always hanging out in the lobby when we come in. They are playing games or talking and they say hi. They can have pets, too.

We have chosen Fox Ridge Bryant. The level of services and the quality of staffing are the reasons why we chose them for my parents. We have friends who are there. We also talked about some of the activities, but we didn't observe them during our visit. The sizes of the rooms seem to be comparable to other facilities that we visited. They are undergoing some renovations, and so that was exciting to see what that's going to be. The common spaces were also equally comparable. They were comfortable, and the outdoor spaces were very nice, so it was good. We didn't get to see all of it because they were under construction to no fault of their own. They had a water pipe that had burst, so a section of their building was blocked off. We didn't get to see everything, but the owner seemed to be attentive to the facilities and was already adding some additional furniture and things. While we were there, we saw that happening.

I visited this facility

I have toured the Fox Ridge Bryant assisted living and their rooms were smaller but it's a nice facility. The administrator who did the tour was nice. They had a gym, they offered physical therapy, and they had a salon. It was clean too and the location is close to where I live. The restaurants were probably another 5 miles down the road but they just put a new hospital down there.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My sister moved into Fox Ridge Bryant. Right now, they keep evaluating her and keep watching her. If she progresses more in her dementia or whatever, then we'll see about getting her into the memory care part, but right now she's doing good. She's happy there, they've got good care, a good, clean facility. It's new and it's secure. None of the residents could just walk out the door. If they see any of the patients or residents going toward the door, they head them off where they can't get out and get in trouble. The staff is good, they're on top of everything and they're always walking the halls checking on people, so they're well cared for in there, they're looked after. They've got all kinds of activities. On Tuesday if they want to go shopping, they load them up, take them to the local stores around Wal-Mart just right down the street. It's well maintained and it's clean, and it's nice. They've got a hair salon and a TV room. She's getting her money's worth.

My husband doesn't really have enough care at Fox Ridge Estates – Bryant because they have aides that stop in once in a while and check on him. There's one who he really liked and got him what he wanted, but the rest of them probably couldn’t care less and I'm not too happy about it. For someone who's not like my husband it's probably okay, but then my husband can't see and he has hearing aids. The staff needs a little bit more supervision. My husband has been there a month before he was moved. He's in assisted living 2 where he's locked in. His room is very nice and large with a nice bathroom. Their food was delicious and he ate everything off his plate. The dining area was large and they have people bring the food out to you. They have a little exercise class and church service on Sunday afternoon. They have sing-along and Bingo. It's a nice looking place and one of the lower priced places I found.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My father lives at Fox Ridge and it is the best place for him, his quality of life, and for my peace of mind. While it has to be difficult to attend to so many residents... the staff, chefs, CNAs (especially), and the nurses give all of their attention to make sure that the residents get the BEST care possible. There is recreation, fine dining, exercise options, a movie theater and game room, and transportation to doctors appointments. For families who cant provide the attention needed to take care of their elderly loved one, assisted living is a GREAT option to being in a nursing home or living alone. The rooms are big enough for a bed and entertainment space without feeling confined to one corner; the staff is there for the residents at the push of a call button, and the patients are treated with respect! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT for my father!!!

Fox Ridge Estates was nice and very pretty. The rooms were nice, too. They provided meals served in the dining room. They had a lot of recreation, and a lot of people and bands who came in to entertain. It's probably the best place in the area. They had bingo and went out to visit places. The place was clean, the food was good, and they really took care of people. The staff was always nice and always glad to see my brother and me. They had a chef who did a good job.

We went to Fox Ridge. The lady that we talked to was very nice and willing to assist. It’s very nice and clean. The staff from the administrators, directors and the nursing director, was nvery nice and helpful. They had an activity room, laundry, and beauty shop. They have been excellent.

The overall facility is good. The staff is all friendly. My father has been there 5 yrs. There are some inconsistancies lately, some with potential dangers, I am not sure if it is because of selling it to a bigger company or cost saving measures. The administration seems to be receptive, available, and open to the residents.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I am living in Fox Ridge Estates. They have a big hall and eight little garden homes on the property. I have a garage and a home with two bedrooms and two bathooms. One bedroom is a master bedroom and a master bath with a walk-in shower, a Jacuzzi tub, and two vanities. It's an open area, so you can see the living room from the kitchen, plus a gas fireplace in a living room/dining room combination. They cook at the main house and deliver food to the garden homes. I have a kitchen, too.

Fox Ridge Estates is very clean and very nice and on a beautiful property. They have assisted living on one side. The rooms were nice, and there’s three meals a day. The staff has been wonderful. They have all kinds of activities as well as a movie theatre room, exercise room, and a lot of other things to do.

I am/was a resident of this facility

Fox Ridge had meals three times a day. It was nice, but it was not as upscale as others I'd visited. I had a one room apartment; it was not as nice as the facility I have been in. It has a refrigerator, microwave, and bathroom all on one level. I thought the dining room was good, but it was not spacious. They had a large room where they played bingo, music at night, and they show movies here several times for activities. They have a pool table and exercise room, and it wasn’t as strict in terms of security.

My husband is in Fox Ridge and I am very happy with it. The cleanliness of the place is above average. The staff is absolutely wonderful. He has a small studio, and it is great. It is just enough for him. They have wonderful food. Their activities are above and beyond. They have all kinds of activities for him. They take him to Walmart every Thursday morning. They go to the Bishop Center every Wednesday. They have movies, games, and all of that. I am really pleased with them.

Fox Ridge in Bryant, Arkansas is a terrible place to send a loved one with dementia or Alzheimer's. The staff including the director are under educated and trained. The facility sends Alzheimer's patients who are the late stages to a psych ward to be evaluated. Are you kidding me?? Please do not send your loved ones there.

The facility was in a decent location and was relatively clean inside. My friend's grandfather did have infected bedsores though. That leads me to believe that constant care is not provided as often as it should be. The nurses were seemingly nice enough in person. I don't think I would entrust this facility to house any of my relatives nor my loved ones. My friend's grandfather kept saying how much he wished to "get out of that place", even though I realize this might just be due to his progressing dementia. The facility was relatively non-welcoming inside. The halls were white and didn't really provide any visual stimulation whatsoever. The grounds outside weren't very exciting either. It was mostly a parking lot with a few sad trees placed about. I suppose, for a low-cost living facility this would be an, "ok" placing for a relative, depending on how their quality of life was before they needed to enter a facility such as this. My family and I thought that the facility was great. The staff was kind and considerate. In fact, one of my grandfather's physical therapists still sends my mother Christmas cards. The food wasn't particularly impressive though. And they wouldn't let my grandfather have all the coffee he wanted to have, which he didn't appreciate. But overall the place was clean, kind and appeared to be well run. The staff did a good job of explain to us his condition and allowing us time to ask questions. This was very important to us as nobody in my family is in the medical profession. When my grandfather passed away, he was in the assisted living home. The staff was very professional and considerate when letting us know that he had passed. I would recommend Fox Ridge to anyone interested in learning more about assisted living facilities. Most importantly, my grandfather passed away happy and comfortable. What more can you ask?
