Home health care provides light medical services that
in-home care does not offer. Home health care providers are often licensed nurses or therapists who monitor vital signs and health conditions, perform skilled nursing tasks and/or guide recipients through physical, occupational or speech therapy. Medication management may also be part of home health care.In-home care, on the other hand, is provided by caregivers who are not qualified to perform medical tasks. These caregivers focus on personal care activities such as bathing and dressing. They make meals, clean, do laundry, provide transportation and offer companionship.
