Side effects for chemo patients

Debshoffman asked...

My husband was diagnosed January 12 2017 ands had chemo January 13th. He has been too weak since to get further treatments. They are sending him home for the first time tomorrow. I was wondering how often or how many out there get a chemo treatment and have to wait 6-7 weeks or more to get further treatments and if any one size almost died from the first treatment. For 3 weeks after the treatment he didn't even know who I was. He still won't eat so when he comes home I have to quit my job because he can't be left alone because he isa on continues feeding through a tube they placed in his stomach. I'm concerned I won't be able to provide enough care for him but the insurance won't pay for more time in a hospital. What further side effects can I expat for further treatments. I'm so stressed now and he hadn't come home yet that I'm getting migraines.
