First, please make sure your dad is in no physical pain. Your physician can give him a thorough exam to determine physical ailments. Screaming is a cry for help, a need that is not met. Your dad is frightened in his state of mind. He needs to be reassured and feel secured. He needs to be in relationship; i.e., he needs to feel purposeful and not isolated. Try hand massages. Rub his back. Stick a Hershey's kiss or lollipop in his mouth. Play some classical music for him. Give him something secure, like a blanket, or a favourite object for him to hold. It takes a lot of patience to find what will work. God bless you in your care for him.
