This facility appears to provide good care. Special services are available for those who need them, including physical therapy. The physical therapy provided was evidently of good quality. The facility also offers a variety of other special services, including occupational therapy, speech therapy, dentistry, podiatry, and nursing care, each of which is available only for those who need those particular services. No evidence of injury to any resident was demonstrated. Staff members were pleasant and acted friendly. House rules required some restriction of residents' freedoms, such as an inability to go out alone. Not all residents were pleased by the rules.Rooms are shared between two people; when occupancy of the facility is relatively high, residents have roommates whom they do not know. This is not popular with everyone. Curtains can be drawn between beds to provide some privacy. In-room television screens allow residents to entertain themselves alone with a variety of interesting programs if they choose to do so. Magazines are available for those who like reading and are able to see well enough to do it.A variety of nutritious food was available. Favorable comments on the food were heard. The St. Anne center is recommended.

I visited this facility
St. Anne is easy to find, but located in the northeast part of Seattle, so coming from the city can be a bit challenging. There's not a lot of parking for visitors onsite. There are lots of windows in the facility"”and a wonderful courtyard area with tables with umbrellas on them outside, open to all who are permitted to use it on their own. Residents gather there frequently for fresh air and conversation. There are two people placed in each room, which allows for more privacy than most similar facilities. Still, the spaces are somewhat small"”with shared restrooms and also a main shower room shared by a number of people on the floor, which may not allow easy use for those who want to shower daily. Also, residents who need long-term care are mixed in with those who are more independent. For the independent residents, the set-up can get loud and messy. Two options are provided for every meal; special needs and diets are accommodated, but quality of the food is just average overall. There are some activities provided, including daily newspaper readings and regular church services, but not a lot of scheduled outings out of the facility. A definite plus: The staff is very knowledgeable and quick to respond to residents' needs. Those who staff the therapy department is especially knowledgeable and the people there seem to work well as a team.
