We're a same-sex married couple. Can the higher Social Security be applied to both?

We finally was allowed to get married with the new law. We both are on SSI disability. One of us is receiving more income than the other.Our work history with different companies has made one higher. Will the same apply as a married man and woman to us where the lower person may apply on the higher amount?
