I visited this facility
We went to Atrium Springdale, and it was great. They had very active people. The took trips all the time several days a week. They had a party atmosphere where they were doing different things and always celebrating something. The people working there were very friendly. I thought the prices were a little high, but it was a really nice facility. They were the best for keeping the people active because they had a lot more activities.
I thought that they were very well run. I liked it a little better than the others I visited. I thought that they kept everybody young and active, and I thought that was a big part of it. I would recommend it to others.

I am a friend or relative of resident
My mother had a fire and lost everything. Fortunately, insurance was there to insure that we had a nice place for mom to stay while things were worked out for her. My mother is 74 and not exactly fond of most people. I do think that the experience was overall a good one for her. Atria is a very nice facility and the staff are extremely attentive to the tenants. And that could be a problem for someone who is older and very independent. About twenty percent of the people staying there are very independent and may not need assisted living. Sometimes the staff has a tendency to maybe be a little overbearing because they are constantly making sure that everyone is safe and taken care of. And that can be a little bit confining for someone like say my independent mom who lived in the country. The staff is accomodating and friendly. The place is clean and there is plenty of food and they do have a lot of activities. Atria and its staff provided me and my family peace of mind that we very much needed during a difficult time.

Atria Springdale wasn't an upscale facility as far as how it was decorated. But they were in the process of renovation. They were fabulous. The staff is very friendly and interacts with the residents. They seem to know all of the patients name. There were a lot of activities that the residents go to, like casinos, movies, theater, and they go shopping. They seem to make it a very personalize experience for everyone. All the residents were incredibly friendly. They spoke very highly of their experience there. They talk about activities around holiday times, like Thanksgiving, to include the families. You can even reserve a room for your own family.

I visited this facility
The building was beautiful. From what I saw, the residents were very happy with where they were, and the staff was attentive to their wishes and needs. Many activities and social outings were advertised, and the assisted living provider also gave transportation options to the residents. Of the residents that I spoke to, they seemed very happy with the care provided here, and said that the medical assistance provided was also of a high level of service. Although I did not have a chance to walk around the grounds, I did see residents walking around and seemingly enjoying themselves. The food options that I saw were also very enjoyable, with the cafe providing snacks and foods to the residents, along with restaurant style meals. In the room that we saw, there was also an emergency call system, something that gave us a great peace of mind, as 24 hour assistance is something that would be very useful to residents as well as to the families of residents. Overall, an excellent facility with a caring and friendly staff.
