I am/was a resident of this facility
The experience at The Meadows is very good, but of course it is a big adjustment. For the most part, it is very pleasant; the people are very nice, and the staff is very nice. The place is very well-kept and well cared for. The food is reasonably good. Their preparations are quite good, and they have a pretty good selection of things. It is very nice served, the dining room is moderate with linen table cloths and napkins, and you have wine with your meals if you want. It’s very well done.
There are a number of activities like clubs, cards, pool, exercise, computers, yoga class, arts and crafts, and bridge, and in the evening they do have sort of a happy hour in the main room where they served wine before supper. They bring in entertainers so there’s a chance to meet other people to talk and meet our friends so it’s very useful. It’s a little pricey, but for what you get, I think it’s certainly well worth the price.

The Meadows of Napa Valley has got something for everybody. It has really extensive grounds. I know as far as assisted living that the rooms are very nice. It is the grounds that I am most interested with. They have a super nice floral walking ground that you can walk all around. It is huge. You have a private area where you can walk. They go all the way from a regular 1-person apartment style, up to a hospital facility. It is so huge that I don't think everyone gets personal care. The dining area is a buffet style. The size of the facility can be a little too big if you know what I mean. It is extremely expensive. It is an older facility, so it is not quite as clean as the newer facility. We had a bad earthquake here in Napa, and a couple of the facilities here still have a gigantic crack on it. The staff here is absolutely friendly. The residents there are quite happy although I know quite a few who ran out of money and transferred to something cheaper.

The Meadows of Napa Valley is a continuing care facility. The property is very large with lots of amenities. They have a pool and an exercise room in there. They have everything, but you also need to pay more. I was able to have lunch there, and the food was very good. They also have a huge list of activities.
