I toured Sugarbush Manor. The staff was remarkably great, and the rooms were wonderful. They were eating when I was there, I didn't eat, but you could tell that the residents were all well cared for and were enjoying their meal with each other. It was just a very homey atmosphere. The staff told me about a lot of their activities. They have physical activities like some exercises sitting in their chairs or whatever, and art projects. There's quite a bit of that, too. It was a great experience.

When we are ready to place Mom in a Memory care facility it will be this one. The staff is awesome and the facility is too. So homey! Of course, all the care Mom will need is right on sight, great meals, large resident rooms, beautiful indoors and out. I will not be considering any place else.

What I like about Sugarbush Manor is it's like a home. It's not a hospital. They have got the best people working here, from the girls who take care of you, to the managers. Any time you ask a question, they'll answer you and they're not afraid to talk to you. They've helped me so much in this last three months. I can't believe it. I was really scared to come here. They made everything so worthwhile that I'm not afraid to be alone around here anymore. I just take off, and they're right there. I don't think I ever want to go anywhere else if I had to move. I want to stay here because of the beautiful people. You could get stuck in here just like you do in your own home. If you have any situation you can't handle, they're right there to help you. There are a bunch of people that I would give 100% to any time. The food is homemade. It's like you're cooking in your own house. There's nothing phony about it. If I need something, if I ask about it, they'll give it to me. I'm not dissatisfied with anything. They have birthday parties, games, and a lot of music, and we have television and talk sessions. It's really cool. I like it. I just got to open up a little more. I'm kind of shy about people, but it's been good and the people are good to me. The residents are really friendly. I don't feel uncomfortable at all in here. I have trouble with my legs, I can't walk, so the activities they give help my legs. I get my support to help my legs get stronger. Everything in here is a five. My daughter and her late husband found this place. Each time I'm in here, each day that I get out, I enjoy it more, and I can fix up the place the way I want to, so that makes it even nicer. I don't have any problems to say about it. What's great about it, too, I'm right around the corner from my daughter, so that helps a lot.

Sending a loved one into a new environment is one the most life altering experiences. Sarah and Vickie have provided a comfort that is beyond care. The accessibility is truly appreciated.

My sister has moved into Sugarbush Manor. In reviewing all of the places, I just had the best communication and positive vibes from the supervisor when I talked with her. I never saw the actual building, but my sister's son visited and communicated with me about it and everything and that's what led to my decision. So far, she has adapted very well and I can communicate with the staff very, very easily, which is a positive for me since I'm so far away. They're very good at communicating and getting back to me through texting or videos or whatever communication. They have been very, very cooperative. She's been there one month and she's gained two pounds, which is another positive. I like it because it's not too large. I have a calendar of the events for the month and they include both physical activities as well as arts and crafts and things to promote dexterity. Another reason that I chose it is that my sister is a pianist and they have a piano and she has been playing it. The two staff members that I have communicated with are five stars.

Sugarbush Manor was a very lively, very friendly, and caring community. It was great. I looked at the memory care and they were very professional and knowledgeable. They answered my questions and they were overall good. The apartments were clean, spacious, and very nice. The dining area was also nice and lively. I liked it.
