My mom can't pull up her pants.

My mom can go to the bathroom and wipe herself, but she can't pull up her pants. So she has to come and get me to pull her pants up. I don't understand. She has arthritis and says she can't grasp them to pull them up, and yet she can wipe herself. I can't help thinking she just wants attention. I bought her pants that have a very loose and stretchy waist. It's a minor thing, I know, compared to all the other things I've read on this site, but I'm irritated.
