The food at Chicago Ridge Nursing Center was absolutely awful. It was not worth the money. My husband's room was too small for two people. I found roaches and spiders. It was very unclean. The nurses were good. The CNAs were zero except for one person, but she had to have a day off sometime. The rest of them were awful. My husband was lying in urine one time, and so I complained about it. They said they'll get to it, but I've been here two hours and they haven't gotten to it. They didn't get him up for seven days and he had bedsores and mild pneumonia.

This is hands down the worst rehabilitation/nursing facility you could ever have you loved one spend time in. Patients wander the halls aimlessly because there is rarely any activities for them, the staff is friendly but over worked and the director of nurses is a very smug woman who had an issue with being addressed about her nursing staff. Food is passable but not the best. Rooms are cramped with very poor lighting. Patients have no tv or cell phones unless they are provided by the family. The facility itself constantly reaks of human excrement and its just disgusting.

I have/had a friend here and most of the staff is very friendly and nice. The rooms are okay some are better than others the place is always clean it never smells which is saying something. The food is pretty good according to the folks that live there. I don't see a lot of bells or lights ringing and the staff is attentive especially nurse Rini and Maggie and Toya. The director of nurses is very nice too. The only problem I have is the administrator sometimes she speaks to visitors and employees and other times she walks out like she don't know you the employees and patients say she's like that. Maybe it's the way I was raised but I think that's rude and not very customer friendly like. She also always wears knee high boots that look like she's going out on the town...my advice if asked would be nicer to your employees , patients and visitors and dress more professionally.

This place is awful. Ice is gotten from an ice chest in the hallway that anyone can access patients do not have phones. Some rooms have televisions, many do not. There are no clear cut boundaries for patients with different needs or diagnosises. Usually a floor or area is dedicated to say dementia patients. The diaylasis area is small and cramped. I spent hours on my phone at home working with my husbands insurance to find out why a service was not seemingly covered and was told that it was covered---this is wOrkney clearly that should have been done by the social worker at this facility. My husband is now in a facility that is 5 star.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. The care by the nursing staff is nearly non-existent. My relative had her call light on for nearly an hour before anyone happened to realize it was on. She is bed ridden at the moment and really needed assistance. Medications are given to patients without them being told what it is they're being given. The food is terrible and served in raggedy trays with Styrofoam cups with old coffee and flat soda with plastic utensils. The bathrooms are filthy. No one smiles or makes the patients or visitors feel welcome. Any time a cna or nurse was asked for something it was a big hassle, things like scheduled meds or assistance getting in or out of bed or a chair. I along with my friends and family are extremely upset and dissappointed. This is not a place you can leave a loved one at and sleep well at night. Just an all around bad experience.

Chicago Ridge Nursing and Rehab was awful. It was just horrible, and it was the worst experience I have ever been to. The staff did not care about the patients. The food was not that good. They should train their staff a little bit better.

Really exceptional place as are the people who run it. They don't have an easy time of it dealing with various medical conditions and such but they do an outstanding job of it my neighbor was here and I had power of attorney over him and the care was very good excellent place and people!,,,,

My mom and a friend of the family were here and the care was outstanding!!!The nurses were so nice as were the ancillary staff. In a lot of places you can't even speak with the President of the facility or the Head of nursing but these ladies were so nice and helpful. the food was not the greatest, but these people really care check it out for yourself shoshanna

My aunt stayed for 2 weeks, was in a room with 2 others and could not handle being there. She ended up living with me for 3 years until her death. My mother stayed for less than 1 week after breaking a hip and needing a facility offering dialysis. The metal rail on the bed was encrusted with food, the 1st floor housed recovering drug and alcoholic abusers who were allowed to ride the elevator but not supposed to enter other floors. This is the only facility my sweet wonderful mother ever insisted on getting her out of there.
