Golden Pond Communities was a very old facility. If you'd like to be able to smoke and sit outside, they have their own patios there, so that's one perk, but the place needs to be updated. The bathrooms just have a toilet and a plain sink. There are no cabinets or anything for storage. You got a tiny little refrigerator and you have to get your own microwave. They didn't have any amenities. All they have was a small library. That's about it. I only met the director, but she was wonderful. She was very nice and endearing.

I found Golden Pond for my ex husband. There's two things that I like. I like that they don't have levels of care. There's just a set fee. So, a lot of times they have the rent or whatever the monthly fee is, and then they have levels of care that they charge. And this way I just know that he's getting whatever he needs today, and he'll get what he needs tomorrow, and years to come, and the rate isn't changing, so I can budget better. And then the other thing I like is just the location. The location is next to the West Orange Trail in Orlando, and so he's able to get his motorized wheelchair out there and get fresh air in a safe environment versus being on the streets or on the sidewalk, so there's no motorized traffic there. Everybody's been super attentive the way they interact with other residents. He hasn't moved in yet, but the way they interact with other residents, I was very impressed with that. It's a one story place, and every unit has an outdoor patio where the residents can sit outside, so it's really nice that they can be outside. So that's one of the things that was nice during COVID, is the people were able to be outside even when they were trying to be cautious and not let a lot of socialization go on.

This facility went above and beyond professionalism for the help which I needed to find a place I could leave my father and not have to worry about the care required for a 92 year old World War 2 veteran who became blind just in the last couple of years. So many options to keep him busy and above all, happy! I'm 1500 miles away and very at ease knowing the room we furnished is a room I would live in and the staff are encouraging him to be a part of the group of wonderful residents. He seems so happy after the depression of living on his own with nobody around. Thank you so much, I will be visiting often.

My father has been in Golden Pond in Winter Garden for almost five years now. The location is nice. It's right off the West Orange trail. It's restricted to electric wheelchairs, so it's really easy for him to take the West Orange trail and go to downtown Winter Garden. They have a farmers' market every Saturday, and he likes that. The staff is friendly. They're kind of short on staff as far as the nursing goes. The food is decent. It's a nice facility, and all the residents seem happy. They have a fair amount of activities. They play bingo, and they have dancing every Friday night.

My mother's care at Golden Pond Communities has been pretty good, but the CNAs could be a little more on the ball. They have bingo, crafts, movies, and lots of activities. Her room is clean. The food is pretty good. I've had an issue with what they serve them to drink like sweet tea or sweet juice, but they're trying to fix that with unsweetened tea.

We visited Golden Pond. Everybody was very kind, but in the memory care unit, every patient seemed to be farther along in their memory care problems than my mom. There was no conversing with the patients at all. They were just sitting at the tables. We didn't like the lack of interaction. The rooms and staff seemed fine.

Our tour at Golden Pond Communities went well. The director of marketing took us around and showed us two available rooms, one of which was a shared room, and the other room was kind of a front of a second room, but it had no windows in it. They said they could let that one be a little bit cheaper because it had no windows, but it just seemed weird to me. They have meals and activities. The staff I met with were great. The place is sprawling because they have different levels of care.

I didnt like Golden Pond's building. They all have rooms to the outside, which I dont think is great, and they were much smaller and not as well taken care of, so I was not really thrilled. I liked the director. She was very personable, full of information, and excellent, but the conditions of the place were just not quite as good.

I am a resident of Golden Pond in Winter Garden celebrating my third month of being here. I am proud to say that my stay has been unbelievably happy. Every need I have requested has been promptly attended too. The Staff has treated me with respect and heart felt care. The food is great and always a variety in their menus. I share a room and my roommate is a wonderful person, I could not be more pleased. I am in building 402 and my 93 year old Mother is in 404. We thank God everyday for being at the Golden Pond Resort, as we call it. There is no comparison to the facility I lived in in Georgia to The Golden Pond here in Winter Garden. I have a beautiful room and a beautiful patio where I spend a lot of time. I'm 68 and I have nothing to say but Thank You, I'm so Blessed to be here. I would totally recommend this facility to anyone and I have informed the Staff in that regard.

The place looked nice and very clean, although outdated. The residents all seemed friendly and content. Lost out on two stars because the woman who showed us around wasn't exactly the brightest bulb in the box and was far too interested in gossip for my liking. I'd rather my dad not live in a place where the first employees we meet are unprofessional drama queens.

The rooms are smaller at Golden Pond Communities, but it looks like the care is as good. The person who showed me through was very knowledgeable. It’s an older facility, but it looks like it has been taken care of.

I fell in love with Golden Pond, while visiting. looking for a homey facility for my sister. The clients were very happy. The staff were extremely loving, kind and compassionate. I needed respite care soon after visiting. My sister stayed there for five days. she loved it. The food was excellent. She could select foods she liked & she had homemade hot bread every morning. Shes was treated with love & kindness. The facility is absolutely clean & as if one would have there own little apartment. They are also pet friendly. Super place to live and enjoy for the rest of ones life. My sister would like to move there soon, God willing. Nan Biddy, Clermont resident,

We looked at Golden Pond for my father. They have significant acreage there. They were all single floors, which was nice. They have no vacancy, but I like this community. It was clean. It wasn’t as new as the other facility but it looked very modern and it seemed like it was well managed. They had nice rooms. They were nice size, and I also like the bathrooms and the amenities that came in, they were very nice.

Golden Pond Communities was nice. The thing I was disappointed about was the person we had an appointment with wasn’t there. The supervisor, who was very new, took care of us, but she was new, so she didn’t know everything. But the facility was beautiful. The dining area was nice. Everybody seemed to be having a good time. One of the residents we talked to said she enjoyed living there. Their rates were very expensive, but the rooms were beautiful. Everything looked clean. I was definitely impressed.

My brother was at Golden Pond Communities for about 6 weeks. It was not secure. He would walk out, catch a bus, and be gone all day. It was a beautiful facility, and the food was fantastic. They were extremely well staffed, and they had a psychiatrist that came. It was just not a fit for him.

My father has been a resident for 6 years and has been cared for very well by the staff! I appreciate their patience and the encouragement they give him! Whenever I visit or call I'm always welcomed and informed of any concerns or changes in his condition. I have nothing but praise for his caregivers, the facilities, & the activities. Most important, Dad's content (even likes the food) and that's what really matters. Kudos to all the angels there!

This facility management only cares about the profits and not the residents or staff. They move medicade residents out of their apartments without their permissions if they can make more money from private pay residents. Corporate who runs the facility from another state and has no idea how this facility is being run and pops in occasionally for a couple hours. This place is all about profit and not about their residents. Check out some of some of the other local facilities in the area as we have. We took our loved one out of this facility and are sooo happy we did. Hope this helps.

We visited Golden Pond Communities, and I must say that they have a very nice and beautiful community. All the residents looks well taken care of and they are having a great time enjoying all their friends in the community. The people are always smiling and it felt a happy community. They have a beautiful and big yard. It's great for fun activities. It's a home-like environment. I would definitely recommend Golden Pond Communities to others.

I found Golden Pond to be the best place for my mom. She kept her independence for as long as she could. She fell in love with her caregivers. She got a new lease on life when she moved in.
