Most reviews are older. This is current. We were displeased with the management regarding the behavior and bullying of some residents. My wife and I were treated badly by a small group of bullies who were just jealous and bitter. Nothing was ever done. Seems a small thing but not when these people set the tone. They even treat tve staff with disrespect. Rents are high and going higher. Too much to pay for limited activities, weak management and basic bullying. All things are adjusted so as not to have to upset the problem people. Nope. Too much money to live in junior high.

My loved one loves it there at Aston Gardens At Tampa Bay. It's wonderful. She's very happy. She loves the food and she likes her room. She likes the help. She likes everybody there and that's important. There are two nurses on duty full-time. She's getting physical therapy and occupational therapy. They have a lot of activities that she has not started to enjoy, but we'll get her there. There's a refrigerator and microwave in her unit. She gets two showers a week, they make her bed every day, they clean everything once a week, and they do all the laundry. If she gets low on supplies, though I've given them permission, they automatically purchase them. They're just very, very nice. I like them. They help out tremendously. They even offered to donate a television for her. It's a beautiful facility. It is clean. They even have piano lessons. It's expensive, but they all are. All the others have tiers of level of support and everything is a different price and that's kind of a crazy maker, but this one does not have that. It's just if this is the price, this is it, but everything's included.

We've chosen Aston Gardens at Tampa Bay. The tour was excellent. We went there several times to see different places. It was very clean and very bright. Everybody was extremely friendly. We liked the location. Bradley was awesome and very knowledgeable. He wasn't pushy. He seemed to care. The food was excellent. The rooms were very spacious and bright. The outside was very nice. They've got a canopy going all the way around all the apartments so that you can get to the clubhouse even on a rainy day without getting wet.

My mom lives in Aston Gardens at Tampa Bay. She has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and her own little patio. She loves it there. They have one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. They have different buildings. They have tons and tons of activities. They have a huge calendar for everything. My mom's always doing something. They have bingo. They have a pool, and they do water aerobics. They have a nice crafting room. Another cool thing that they do is that every month they have somebody come to the place and sell stuff to the people. They provide meals. They also deliver to your door if you're not feeling very well. It's a really good value. My mom gets every single thing she could ever need, included in her monthly rent. They take her to her doctor's appointments in a personal car, not just a bus. You get what you pay for there, which is nice.

I'm currently in Aston Gardens At Tampa Bay. My wife and I moved in probably a little over three years ago. We have found it very congenial, and we like the service. They are having a lot of difficulty staffing and all that. It's not because of them; it's just the problem of getting staff today. The staff is very good. They are trying it all under the circumstances. The food is very good. The chef is outstanding. He has been trying to always keep up. I don't know how he does it with the supply of food today and the cost of food, but he has continued to have excellent meals. The maintenance takes care of everything, and I've had very good service in terms of whenever I needed maintenance. They just redid our air conditioning, not only outside but inside, they did put new equipment in. I'm in a two-bedroom with a full kitchen. We have two beds, a living room, and an outdoor porch that's screened in. They just re-did everything. They came in and re-furbish the whole facility on the outside, the main area, and the eating area. It was a complete redo. I've been involved with bingo. We had a choral group, but the lady who led the choral group had to go into assisted living and now we're trying to rebuild the group again. I have been active in Tai Chi, there is Tai Chi once a week, I've enjoyed that, and it's been helpful. We just got a new activity director. When you're changing staff, everything is being changed around. It's a little disruptive right now. I would say it's a good value.

My parents are at Aston Gardens At Tampa Bay, and they're very happy there. My mom has a few complaints about the food. But they have activities, and they enjoy bridge, number one. They've made a lot of friends and they're constantly doing things with their friends. They're always going down for happy hours and they're always going together. My mom goes to get her hair done there all the time. Their room has a kitchen and a couple of closets. The staff is very nice courteous, friendly, and helpful. They have a pool and hot tub. They're independent living, and so they have it all The place was remodeled the last six months and it is beautiful. I would say it's a friendly community. You don't have high rises, the most it goes is a couple of floors. And it's all around the lake that's very picturesque. It's a place where you get to meet people and make good friends.

My mom will be moving into Gardens at Tampa Bay, and she will be staying in the independent living. They also provide assisted living onsite, which is a plus for me, so she doesn't have to move out of that complex if she needs assisted living. I like that it did not feel like an assisted living at all. It had an almost ballroom type of feel when you walked into it. The apartments do seem more like apartments because you don't walk down a hallway to get to them. This is probably important for them to know that the buildings are separate from the dining area, but they do have a covered walkway for the residents to actually walk to the dining area. It almost seemed like you're on a vacation. The room she's going to be in is beautiful and totally redone with a balcony or a lanai. They do provide transportation where they pick you up right by your front door to take you to the ballroom area. It was just nice. You can't even tell that there is an assisted living facility on the property. They are also putting in a dog park, which is a huge thing for my mother. Robin was the one who helped me during the tour, and she was very professional and very personable. It was enjoyable talking to her, and I never felt any pressure. I would see a scratch on the door that I asked to be taken care of before she moves in, they were taken care of. I brought in a TV that had to be hung, and before I left, the TV was already hung up. However, I might not be as happy with the food because of the way they charge you for food delivery, but we'll see. I'm going to rate the whole facility a four, because even if it is just renovated, there's little things that need to be done, replacing carpeting would be nice. Now, the appearance of her apartment is definitely a five.

My sister-in-law loves Aston Gardens At Tampa Bay. It's a great choice. They're excellent. It looks like a resort apartment complex. The activities have been somewhat limited due to COVID, but everybody's beginning to pick up now. She really loves the food. They have free cable, free electricity, and a pendant that she can wear when she falls, or when something happens, she can press that button, and that's no extra charge. They have meals and activities. They have a pool, and I know she plans to do water aerobics. They've got beautiful grounds and covered walkways. They have a lake and you can walk all around the lake under covered walkways, so if it's raining, you still have a nice walking path. It's a lovely place. One of the reasons we chose Aston Gardens At Tampa Bay was my sister-in-law lives in Hillsborough County, and she did not want to change all her doctors.

My mother is in Aston Gardens At Tampa Bay. They're doing a fantastic job. We like the staff and we like everything about it. It's not perfect and it's not laid out like an apartment, but it's well kept for being a memory care unit and the difficult environment that they have with the patients that are in there. It's very clean, neat, and orderly, and they have good facilities.

Aston Gardens was really appealing and number one on my list. It was very well taken care of and had a wide variety of activities which appealed to me. They had an exercise room, a pool, and a very nice staff. They had cruises, visits to the theaters, puzzles, knitting, and they have a crafts room and library. However, it was too expensive.

I think we’ve decided to go to Ashton Gardens at Tampa Bay. We lived there five years ago, and now we are going back. They had a lot of activities that we took part in. The setting was nice, and the food seemed to be pretty good. They are rebuilding the whole place. As people move out, they are remodeling the apartment and putting new appliances in the kitchen. They now have a washer and dryer and a dishwasher in each of the larger apartments, but not in the smaller apartments. Ours is going to be a remodeled apartment with new carpeting, so it is like new. We haven’t moved in yet, so we don’t know about the activities and the food quality, but we do remember that the food quality was good when we were there before, so it should be the same.

Our impression of Aston Gardens at Tampa Bay was that the building was filthy. When we walked in, the lounge area was really pretty. They had all antique stuff there, and that was good. We went into the administration office, which was not well kept. We were shown the poker room and a bar area, which had wooden floors that were all scratched up and not well kept. The staff who took us around was good.

I was not happy with the cleanliness of Aston Gardens at Tampa Bay. I think they need to keep it up better. The rooms and food appeared to be fine, and the staff appeared very friendly. I didn’t see much evidence of security. It was a bit expensive, and the value was not quite there for us. Their location near Tampa would be interesting and near the coast.

The receptionist is very rude and act like you're beneath her, My first time in and she looking down at her phone and took minutes to even assist me. She told me to hold on, while I stood there in disbelief. She is NOT a good representation for that company. She acts nice when her boss is around. She's very rude. The kitchen needs to be upgraded only with computers. They are behind time. People are great.

I had visited Aston Gardens. As soon as I got to the assisted living side of it, I saw the residents lined up against the wall in wheelchairs; the TV was on, and they were all sitting there sleeping with their heads slumped over to the side. That was a huge turnoff immediately. I would suggest to them that the staff interact more with the residents who are wheelchair-bound and engage them because clearly they were not engaged. The staff was very pleasant and very helpful; I had no complaints about them at all. They went out of their way to show us rooms. The bedrooms were on the small side; the one that I did see barely fit a queen-sized bed in it. Probably their dining area was the best thing that I saw.

We have moved into Aston Gardens. The administration and staff are all very involved in their work with the residents and the home; we are all part of each other. We have a one-bedroom apartment, which is very nice and adequate for just the two of us. It is pretty well-kept, and they provide service for whatever we need . They have exercises, painting classes, and various domino and card games. The food has been very good all the time. The home is now in the middle of remodeling inside and out, so they are shuffling around the dining rooms while they are remodeling, but overall it has been very good, and they've been able to handle it very well.

I met some nice people at Aston Gardens, but the food was not out of this world. They’re having people come there and take care of them instead of going into their assisted living facility. They were just hiring someone to take care of them, and that was the reason why we left. It was very clean; they had a woman that cleaned our place, and we were very pleased with her. They had a dining room and a grilled room, and it was more informal. The food was alright; the desserts and their breads were very good, and sometimes they had good food. What surprised me was that he made Italian spaghetti and meatballs. The staff was very accommodating. We went there because their apartments were great, with 2-bedroom, 2 bath and a car garage, and it was cheaper than some of the others.

Ashton Gardens is one of the top 3 of all the places that we visited. The rooms were all nice, and they had a kitchenette in them which gives the residents some independence so they do not have to eat in the dining rooms. They look like they are living in a hotel, but the facility also has houses for people who want to live more independently.

My mother decided on Aston Gardens. It seemed pretty expensive in the area where it is spread out and they have different sections where they have the assisted living and nursing home. Also, it only had 3 floors instead of the building of many stories that you had to take the elevator. In other words, you have to walk covered walk ways to go to your eating. The staff was really nice there.

I went to view this facility while my daughter was here from Colorido. She works with the seniors with there medicare problems so she was able to obtain all the necessary information that would cover all the areas that would needed to be covered for my wife and me. We were given a tour of the facility and all questions on the needed cost were explained. We were given a great tour of all units and full explained cost. Had a very nice meal and view all of the clubhouse and given a copy of all the events they have during the month. We were invited back for an other visit and to give them a call or return visit if we came up with any questions we felt we needed to discuse.

Aston Gardens is my favorite. It's a little expensive, but we might consider it. I was just there for a meeting; then I went ahead and looked around. This is a bigger facility. The facility itself was very nice. The people I saw were so happy and friendly. They took me in to see the rooms; they're very nice with good sizes. They had a lot of activities. I saw the list and it's three times longer of the things they do. The people were singing, there were Christians there.

Aston Garden is one of the bigger and newer facilities. They have everything from Alzheimer's care, independent living or assisted living. It's clean and the people were nice. They have a pool, transportation and a couple of dining halls or sports bar. The dining hall is really nice. It has lots of tables where you can sit as 2 or a table for 8. They have buffet food available. The apartments have 2 or 3 bedrooms.

Aston Gardens had very nice, clean and lovely high-rise buildings. The living room facilities are away from the main building where the dining room and the activities are and that's why I couldn't live there. I have a problem with my leg and it's just too far for me to walk from one of the other buildings to the main building. As far as choices go and if the set up were different, I'd probably be living there now.

It is a very nice facility. The only thing is they have several different buildings and you have to go downstairs and outside to get to and walk to the main building where the dining room and where most the activities are. So you're outside and exposed to the weather. It's a much larger, expansive facility. We had lunch there and we were not as impressed with food there as compared to the other facilities and their staff there didn't seem as friendly also.

Everyone at the Aston Gardens living facility was very helpful and informative. They helped me understand the care that would be taken yo ensure my parent was satisfied. I wouldn't just place my parent anywhere, but I felt they had known what they were doing enough for me to trust them with a loved one.The staff there was great and the place is very clean and well kept. I could see my parents as often as I needed to. I was surprised to see how satisfied some of the others that were staying there were. No one complained about anything the whole time I was there.A lady named Mary at the front helped me with all the paperwork and walked me through everything. The only complaint I would have was the lack of activites they had for the people staying there. But on the other hand the people that were there were not of the ability to do much by themselves

Friend or relative of resident

My widowed mother-in-law was getting up there in her years and after yet another household accident, her kids (including my wife) were forced to find a facility that could take care of her. While she resisted the ideas every time it was brought up, we booked a trip to visit the facility and learn more about the day-to-day living for seniors in her age range. We live in the Nine Eagles part of Tampa and Ashton Gardens is conveniently located right around the corner from us less than 10 minutes away. My mother-in-law ended up loving the facility, list of activities and saw that most of the people there were still very active. Her resistance faded away until she heard about the costs involved in residing there. To say it was expensive would be an understatement but in the end, my brother and sisters-in-laws were able to make the financial side work. My mother-in-law ended up moving in earlier this year and absolutely loves the place. It's a beautiful living facility and she really is starting to thrive with the other lady residents. I'm not sure why this wasn't explored sooner since even I can tell a difference in her demeanor. My wife's concern, however, is the fact that her Mom may live well into her 90s and beyond (good family genes!) and though she has many investments, the annual price of staying there may be an issue long term. We would all hate if she had to be moved to a lesser facility or have to deal with some of the horror stories we've all heard about homes that are under-staffed or that have no activities or structure. For the time being though, she's not injured herself and everyone (including me) are happy that's she in good hands, safe and secure for the time being. Her old neighborhood was starting to go downhill and we were all worried about her daily safety at home and while running errands. Those concerns are now gone at Ashton Gardens. Final analysis: Ashton Gardens is a top notch place for seniors and certainly a good decision for our whole family (mine and in-laws). Only issue is the costs which are high when compared to other area homes. Long term I hope her kids will come up with a better plan on affording this place. That or we all pray her investments rebound. That's my two cents. Thanks!
