Westminster Point Pleasant had a very nice water view. The upkeep was excellent. The staff during the tour was very good, helpful, and friendly. They had activities, but I didn't go into detail with them. The facility was very nice and very well-appointed. The negative thing I found out about it is the rooms are a lot smaller than the other place, but they had a better view because they looked out on the river.

Okay, if it takes upwards of two weeks for the staff to be fully aware of a new patient's needs, couldn't someone just say so? Like on day one? My husband has been languishing for 8 days in this facility, while his daughters and I have been frantically and futilely attempting to get him the care he needs. "He's on the wrong floor." "We don't see the doctor's notes from the hospital anyway." "I wasn't here, so how should I know?" "Oh, there was a mistake about who was supposed to be his aide." Just a few responses before we heard the truth: They still don't know why he is there! Day after tomorrow a "care plan" will be devised. Meeting at 2p.m. Egregious is the word. (there are more words, believe me) The mostly excellent staff is reduced to mouthing excuses.... how is this an acceptable policy? This isn't a used car lot -- that's my husband you've got in your care and he is suffering and I am really looking foward to that meeting. (not that we're expecting much - who will listen?)

Housekeeping could be better, a lot better, but there's not enough staff, that's obvious! Calls for assistence ignored. Malfunctioning bed got me hung up and spasming - was treated as a dementia patient, clothes flipped up, completely exposed, forced into diaper for no need, given a shot without my consent, dragged from my armpits up the bed and then left there for over 4 hours. Did anyone realize I had multiple fractured ribs from a recent lung surgery? I tried to tell them I'd just had chest tubes removed, but I wasn't getting enough air. I am still experiencing acute rib pain more than a year later. I moaned in pain while stuck in a bed rail, and I was treated like a sack full of unfeeling nothingness, and it took a long time to even get that! If anyone knew why I was there, and what my limitations were, I'd like to believe I would have received better treatment. That's what I keep telling my nightmares, anyway.

We went to Westminster Point Pleasant. The salesperson was amazing. She was super nice and very helpful. There was one apartment that they were redoing that was kind of out of our budget, but it was going to be beautiful. The one that we looked at, we didn't see the value in it compared to what we saw at the other facilities, but everybody was super nice. The facility is a little dated. It was beautiful, I just think for the value, we took it off the list because it was so expensive. The apartment only had a two-burner stove and microwave, and they only provided one meal. It just started getting really expensive at the end of our conversation. I know they have a gym and a pool, but we didn't get a tour of that.

Westminster Point Pleasant is a great spot. It's beautiful. They've got good people working there and my wife lives in a five-star unit. They have different buildings on their campus, some are with nurses and things like that, while she is in a rehab situation right now with some skilled nursing. It's well run and everybody is very loving, caring, and makes you feel good. The intake lady, Maj, is a wonderful woman. She's only been there three months, but she is a great girl. She is very caring, very helpful, listens to you, then answers your questions, and acts on them. My wife also thought the food was very good and when she was at a point where she couldn't eat, I ate it and for me, it was OK, definitely better than what I've ever had in a hospital. Then they have a therapist that goes around and works with each person in their room and she likes that too. So, I was hoping that my wife could stay there. She's on Medicare right now and she may only be there for another week or two since she's feeling a little bit better now.

I am extremely upset with this facility. The staff on the 3rd floor are at 60%.I spent 2 weeks doing most of their work.Granted, they were doing other important things like checking their phones.Once this week my mom pressed the call button and as I walked outside the door to see where the light was,I saw the girl on staff look at the light then saw me and walked away.when I followed her she put her arms on the front desk and closed her eyes for a nap.I stood there for a moment. The nurse at the desk didnt look up until I said excuse me.I asked are you doing anything? The nurse snapped yes ,I am working on files here annoyed.I said my moms call lights been on for 5 min.she says it’s only been on for 2! 2 or 5 what’s the difference? And you’re standing here sleeping! They are obviously understaffed and overworked.I was asking if they were doing anything because I wanted to make sure I wasn’t interrupting something important. They are snappy.I told them to take my mother off of Tremodyle as it was making her seem like she has dimentia and she was not in pain. They said OK then the next day I was sitting with mom and in walks the aide saying here’s tour Tremadyle.I said no, and she says but it’s scheduled.Off to the front desk I went. The head nurse hadn’t checked the changes the last nurse made. Many times I came to visit left and came back to find mom naked from the waste down or pinched up in a chair kinked over asleep without her oxygen. This is their $8500 care?I could tell you more, but I think you can get the idea.I don’t believe anywhere would ever be perfect, but seeing 5 stars is just not sitting well with me.This is notNOT a perfect place. It’s pretty there, but don’t let them sell you on just the view.

As a resident in the Independent Living unit for six years I can attest to the quality of food, service, maintenance, resident/staff relationships, activities and companionship with others growing old, all excellent. I wouldn't live anywhere else.

Westminster Shores was pretty and clean. The person who accommodated me was very nice; however, the community was too big. Also when she told me how they do the pricing, you have to put down a huge chunk of money and you have to put down so much every month after that. I didn't think I wanted to go that route for my mother. My mother doesn't like crowds; she doesn't like a lot of people. We saw the Courtyard floor plan, the one and that would have worked for her; however, it was very small and it was on the second floor. My mother's live-in boyfriend can't go up in the elevator, so that would not work. They had activities but you had to get on a bus and go over to the main building. Every time they wanted something, including their meals, they had to get on the bus and go over the main building.

Westminster is right at the top of my list. It's a luxurious facility with views of the Bradenton River that are drop-dead beautiful. It is gorgeous. The view is really the seller. The food at the brunch was excellent. It's a huge complex and they had two pages of things to do for physical activities and movies. The rooms had big picture windows looking out on the bay. The one-bedroom unit didn't have an oven which is kind odd but they had a two burner stovetop and a refrigerator. They also had plenty of closets.

I liked everything at Westminster facilities. They were very accommodating and a little expensive, but all the good ones probably will be. They had outside lectures, and people who come in and give them lectures and classes. It was a very classy place with everything in order.

The experience with Westminster was very positive. They were very caring, and the residents seemed very pleased and happy with them. My friend that’s staying there is doing very well and likes it very much. She has a very nice, spacious, private room. They are accommodating in getting the kind of furniture a person asks for. The chair wasn’t quite comfortable, so they asked for a recliner. I would absolutely recommend them.

Westminster Shores is very nice. What stands out is the friendliness of the people. They have a large dining room on the first floor and the food is very good. They’ve got individual tables and they give you a choice of meals. I’ve got a 2-bedroom, 2 bath unit, and it’s about 600 sq. ft. They also have smaller units as well as bigger units.

Westminster had a gorgeous water view since it's located more downtown near a lot of activities in Bradenton Riverwalk. It’s close to the main library, a new playhouse, and a couple of streets with cafes. It’s more expensive, but it’s the nicest, and the apartments are nice and include kitchenettes and one or two bedrooms. They have activities and a card group.

What impressed me about Westminster Shores was the quality of care. The facility itself was unlike any others I've seen; top-quality all the way around. It's a medical facility, and the rooms had televisions, reclining chairs, electric lift chairs, and large closet for your clothes. It's a very nice facility. The food was all top-notch; nothing that looked like institution food. It was all prepared right there in the dining facility by the chef, very well-presented. The quality and the variety were top-of-the-line. My father had been here for three months.

Rude staff. Management seems to not have a clue. Smells like mold and dead rats. Will not retire here. Very expense for very little luxuries.

Westminster Shores was a beautiful property with beautiful views. They have villas as well as medium-sized high-rise buildings including new ones being built. The people and the management were good. The room we stayed in was a very spacious two-bedroom villa. The amenities were very good, too.

The rooms at Westminster was very nice. My mother loved it there. Someone comes in once a week and cleans her room, and they take care of everything. She talks with her neighbors, and they get along really well. During dinner, they would pick her up and take her over to the Towers and then bring her back to her apartment. I went to the Towers a couple of times where we played bingo, but she did not like it because the rooms were too small. But it seemed like a pretty nice place.

I like the room lay out at Westminster Shores and the view, and it’s a non-profit so the cost was less. I found lots of activity in the community, and it appealed to us. They have a salt water pool and a very fine health and exercise facility. It suits our needs. The person who assisted us was extremely good. They were very professional but yet very caring and friendly. We found the entire experience extremely positive.

My mom felt comfortable with Westminster Towers & Shores -- that is why she chose this facility. The staff was excellent and there was no pressure. They recognized that the parents need to be the one who are making the decision, and they encouraged her to come back for lunch and stay overnight. Those are the things that she experienced before she made her decision, and that was very helpful. The rooms were nice and the place is very clean and bright.

Westminster Towers & Shores were wonderful. They did things for mom that made her go back using her body and her brain. I was very, very pleased with the progress that she made there. The staff was terrific. They were always smiling which I liked and I appreciated that. No one was ever having a bad day. We were just so thrilled with them. The people there are also extremely friendly. The facility is very, very clean. It's right down the river so you've got the river view up the window. The rooms were very nice. The rooms share the same bath with another resident.. Each room has their own T.V. and a hospital bed that raise up and down. My mom had a great experience there and it was for us great experience all around.

I went to Westminster Towers and I liked it very much. The people there are very friendly and the atmosphere was good. I like the people in there and I like the programs that they offer. They got three levels of care. If I would need assisted living this is the place where I would go.

Westminster Manor is clean, and the food is very good. We have activities, too. It is an independent living, but we can move to assisted living if we want to.

This facility is one among the best in the county. It was very clean, the staff and nurses were very polite and caring. It had a very warm at home feeling considering what type of facility it was. The patients were very well taking care of including my mother before she passed away there. They were very sorrowful for the family. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking to put a loved one in a nursing home.

The staff was always very friendly and nice. They were very supportive and helpful to my family when my Grandmother passed away while living there. They took great care of their patients and met all of their needs, along with their families needs. The facility was always clean and tidy and they allowed therapy pets to be used, which seemed very nice to me. The rooms were a very good size and allowed the residents to be able to move around freely, especially if they were in a wheelchair. There was ample space for all of their belongings and each room was set up to have a television with cable. The facility was well-staffed and there were numerous people available on every floor if any type of assistance was needed. The food was also high quality and very good. They had a great selection of different foods to meet every resident's needs. I would highly recommend this facility.
