Charged us for 4 hours when assistant only came 3.5 hours. Assistant got a parking ticket, then lied to his boss to get out of it. Administration canceled our contract when we told this assistant "We would hire you outright, except we have a contract that we can't, but your boss is frustrating to work with". Aside from lying to his bosses to get out of trouble, the caregiver himself was fine. The agency, however- does not work with insurance, promises fee reduction then doesn't follow through, bills 4 hours when caregiver only here for 3.5, and demands speaking by phone to avoid putting things in writing- then threatens YOU with "Breach of Contract" when you complain.

The woman they sent out to take care of my husband was wonderful. The problems came after he passed away. Thank goodness I didn't use them too long. Their services came to around 1500 dollars. I had been told (more than once, because I was sure to ask) that my insurance would reimburse me and that they worked with all insurance carriers (I gave them the name of my carrier and they assured me they worked with that company). However, the insurance company told me that they actually only have a business license, not a California State Caregivers license, which insurance companies require for reimbursement. When I called to inquire about this, the man on the phone gave me the run-around. He'd billed them, he said, he'd tried to call them several times and they hadn't gotten back...whatever he could to put me off. Perhaps he doesn't know that the insurance company is used to these claims. As a result, they actually log every single call to their system and file notes on that call. According to them, he called once, was asked to provide the license number, he said he'd call back, and never did. So use them if you are able and willing to pay them completely out of pocket with no reimbursement. As I said, the woman who came out to work with us was great. However--as far as I can see, they are not licensed as caregivers, only as a business, and your insurance company will most likely deny your claim for reimbursement, even if Caring Loving Sharing tells you otherwise.
