I visited this facility
I visited Manor Care. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I was impressed with how they would get you situated and comfortable in a particular room and settled in and everything. The place was maintained quite well.

I am a friend or relative of a resident
My friend was at ManorCare Health Services for rehab. She didn’t like it because of the attitude of a lot of the staff, and the food was lousy. The rooms were very tiny and squeezed two people in; you could barely walk to get into the room.

my mother was just transfered from this facility today and let me tell you, The young female aids who work here during the day do not take care of the patients. Today upon my arrival there two of the older aids was just finishing up bathing my mom at 5 pm in the evening. Last Friday I was visiting vith my mom at 1pm and she did not get bathed until 3 pm when I Went to the nurses station To ask when was my mom going to be bathed. Today My mom said to me all those girls do is walk up and down the hallway doing nothing and then they leave at 3:30pm and go home. The aids don't do any work. To ask when my mom would be bathed. I had to walk to the nurses station because the call buzzer for her bed did not work for 5 weeks. The bed she slept in was broken and I requested another bed in which she never got. Moms feeding was suppose to start every evening at 7 pm, well it was never started at that time per the doctors orders I would be sitting there visiting with mom and I would go and look for the nurse to tell her it was time for my moms feeding. The aids. Serving was thePitts and the nurses could do a better job too. some of them have an I don't care attitude when you ask them a question. I was suppose to get a report every Wednesday on how my moms wounds were doing. The whole time she was there I only got one report. How sad was that. The room was not the cleanest room either the room should have been kept more clean especially since my mom had open wounds. A clean environment means everything to open wounds My mom did not get turned every two to three hours per doctors orders due to the open wounds The bed was lopped sided imagine sleeping in a bed like that. I guess you have to be a doctor for your relative to get good care and treatment HUH? This facility needs a whole new staff. I guess then a new staff would be up for making sure everything was in order. I only wish other relatives would take the time out to write a review. So that public could be well informed. Before a loved one is placed in such an environment. Good luck on your loved one being in this facility should you choose to put them there. My mom was there for six weeks and was not really attended too by the staff.

My mother is at ManorCare of Largo. It is a very clean facility. They are very caring to the nursing residents. There is good communication with family about the care plan. They have excellent medical care from the physicians, nurses, and nursing assistants. The food is of good quality. They have excellent daily activities for the residents. They have excellent community participation particularly for religion as well as Girls Scout and Boys Scout bringing gifts to the residents during holidays. They have a financial and social work program. I'm a physician, so for me to say that, it is very high ranking. I absolutely recommend this facility to others.
