My mother-in-law moved to Montage Hills. We chose this place because of the friendly family care, professionalism, and cleanliness. They're taking good care of her. We tried the food there and it was good. Her apartment is a good size and it's very clean.

I chose Montage Hills for my mom because I liked how they were responsive. They set up an appointment right away, and they answered all my questions. The facility was clean, and it had a great atmosphere. I just felt good going in there. The day that my mom was moving in, they were ready. They were outside before we even got out of the car, waiting and greeting us. Everybody was just so friendly and helpful. She has a studio room with 3 windows and a big walk-in closet. It has a little kitchenette with a microwave, a small refrigerator, a sink, and some cabinets. She has a full bathroom with a walk-in shower. It comes with a soap dispenser and towels. There are handrails where they're needed. Cable is included. Outside their door, they put their name and they have a little shelf out there where people put decorations. They get the daily mail of what's going on each day, like a little newsletter. The food is catered more towards the senior citizens' needs. It's OK for me, and my mom likes it. They have activities every single day. Every night, they have movies. They have bingo some days. They have coffee get-togethers. I know that the other day they played volleyball while sitting. They have somebody come in once a week that sings old songs.

I liked the garden at Montage Hills. The outside presentation was beautiful. We visited the memory care on our tour. The staff seemed OK. They were busy. The residents seemed OK, too, but the room that we saw seemed very sterile. They could make it more homey.

Dedicated, compassionate, talented and caring staff. Highly knowledgeable and relatable. Nice facility that’s well cared for. We are grateful for our experience and the support of all the kind folks at Montage Hills.

The staff at Montage Hills is great. They're helpful. They have a social worker, a nurse on staff 24/7, and CNAs. My father's room is just like a hospital room. There is a television, a bed, and a couple of chairs. They had a Valentine's event and stuff at a table the other day. There's occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy, which are all working with my father and so far, it's been good.

My mother was in the skilled nursing wing of Montage Hills. The rooms are okay, nothing fancy. The nurses, particularly Sowet and Genet, are very good. The rest of the care is spotty. The place often seems like a ghost-town. No one helped my mother brush her teeth, and spills could stay around for a day before they were cleaned up. The food was atrocious, big ugly piles of unidentifiable meat and mashed potatoes with yellow gravy. (I saw that the staff, during meetings, were treated to real food with fresh vegetables and fruit.) When I complained about the food, the dietician said she "stands by the five star reviews" they've gotten. That's one of the reasons I'm writing this review. The main problem is the director of Montage Hills. When I made complaints about the food (which is the worst I have seen in any institution) and the inattentiveness of some of the staff, he never answered. Instead he kept calling me Ma'am and saying, "We need to get on the same page." A week before my mother died, he stood in the doorway of my mother's room and said, "Ma'am, we need to get on the same page." When I said I don't want to be called Ma'am and I want you to address my concerns, he told me I was in danger of losing my visitation rights. (I waited to write this review because I was afraid that he might revoke my visitation privileges.) He told me "to step outside the community" and there he hurled abuses at me. He told me I was endangering his job, his company, his family, himself. He told me I wasn't a nurse and shouldn't be giving my opinions. (My mom was dehydrated and I asked that she get fluids; the nurse agreed.) He told me I was angry because I felt guilty that I hadn't taken good care of my mother (laughably untrue). I am writing this review so that others may avoid this kind of treatment. I am also hoping that those who oversee Montage Hills and its parent company, Generations, take note and take action.

As soon as I walked in the front door of Montage, Hani and her cute pup were there to meet me and show me around. I got a good vibe from the very start about this place! It just has a nice friendly feel to it. Hani was awesome and showed me around to the various apartment options that they offer. I couldn't help but notice the way her and the staff there interact with the residents and each other. Everyone is so accommodating and friendly and it seems to rub off on the residents too. The second and third time I came by I brought my mom with me as she had been reluctant to move from her independent living situation. The first visit got her attention but the second visit to look at all of the available room options really seemed to win her over. The maintenance/repair staff got her apartment of choice set up beautifully with new carpet/flooring/paint/etc and it looks great! We moved her in at the beginning of April and got her apartment set up for her. Hani and her team including staff/caretakers/dining facility/maintenance all are so nice and proactive. Mom is getting lots of attention and has already met quite a few of the residents as well. They check on her a couple times a day. They really try to get the residents out doing activities which my mom definitely needed some persuasion to do. I am so glad we found this place for her and would highly recommend it to any families with a relative needing this level of care. (this place also provides Skilled Nursing and Memory care so they can work with folks if/when the need arises) Thanks to Hani and every one there!

Montage Hills was an older facility. But I felt like it was a very, very warm place. The problem with this place was that it was so expensive to put my husband in here. The staff was good at what she did. She wasn't the person that I needed to talk to about that part of the facility, but she was very familiar with the whole place. They had a separate entrance that went around to the back where the skilled nursing part was. They had like a drive-up courtyard, but part of that was parking. They had seating on the front of the place where the people that live there could come out on the front part.

We are so pleased with the level of care, team members and medical caregivers at Montage Hills. Communication is thoughtful, activities are well organized and appealing to all, atmosphere is "like family". My mother is so lucky to live here. There are many assisted living residence prototypes to choose among, so my mother was able to select one that "fit" with her existing furniture so it felt like home. Team member interactions are kind, joyful and everyone has become like family in the 6 months mom has lived there. Such a caring, involved, dedicated team of professionals. Activities include sports, arts, current events, outings-- there is something for everyone. Amenities we've appreciated thus far are the shuttle bus (we love the driver); we look forward to the salon reopening. The courtyards and outdoor spaces are wonderful in warm weather. Atmosphere inside is cosy, calm and comfortable with safety in mind for folks who need accommodations.

Brookdale Denver was nice. The apartment was nice. The only prohibitive was the price. The staff member during the tour was very helpful. The dining area looked very accommodating. The residents were sitting around listening to each other, listening to the piano, and some were playing cards in the exercise room.

Brookdale Denver was in a more rural setting so it seemed a little homier. I liked that all the doors had alarms and they kept a good eye on things. All their courtyards and lawns had some sort of barrier around them, so if someone opens the gate, it's noticed at the front desk. The food smelled really good and a lot of the residents said it's really good. One of the things I liked a lot was that they had a group of residents that were on a welcoming committee that helps new residents become acclimated to the building and help them find their way around. It's a really nice way to include everybody. The staff was wonderful. I was really impressed.

This facility will lie about their ability to care for your loved one just for money. My mom was ther for a day and a half her call button never worked. I told the nurses several times her call button wasn't working they assured me it would be fixed. Later that night my mom fell and no one came because her call button wasn't working. She laid on the floor for two hours before anyone found her. After seven stitches in her head and a stay at the hospital. My mother never went back there again. Please keep in mind I spoke with the head nurse who knew mom was having a bad day. When I called she said they don't go out of their way to check on patients. Please do. It ever put your parent in this facility they are awful!!!

My mother-in-law is living in Brookdale. It is a beautiful facility. When you first walk in, it is very homey, warm, nice, and bright with lots of windows. It has a very modern but comfortable feeling. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. They have a nice dining area and lots of activities for the residents. So far, we have been very pleased with it.

My mom is in Brookdale Roslyn. She really likes it there, and I am pleased. I just have a few issues to address with them, but we seem to be working it out. I chose it because it offers the services that I am looking for. You can tailor the menu for a diet, and they have a concierge service where my mom can call to have someone take her downstairs and upstairs because she is in a wheelchair. As a whole, they are very good. They are in the middle of renovating the entire facility, so, the days have ups and downs as far as construction is concerned, but I think it is going to be very beautiful when they finish. The few rooms that I've seen are very accommodating for older people. I think it is very good. They have bingo, black jack, a visiting library on wheels, and visiting musicians for entertainment. For Christmas, they put together a choir who practiced three times a week for three months to put on a program at Christmas time, which was very good.

Brookdale was OK, but they were way too big of an institution. They didn't have time to really give what I thought my husband needed. They had about one nurse to 20 people, and I didn't think that it was personal enough. I've never seen them do activities, except maybe a few exercises in the chairs; that was about it.

Brookdale Roslyn was nice. It’s a little bigger and formal. We thought dad would be more comfortable in a smaller facility. The dining room is really nice, and the rooms are beautiful. They offer a little more variety in their rooms, and you can get a studio or a one bedroom. The staff was very knowledgeable, professional, and seemed adequate. They can go out and they also have therapy.

The staff that took us around was pleasant, and she answered a lot of questions. We saw some activities going on. I watched the caregivers dancing with some of the patients. However, Brookdale Roslyn (Formerly Emeritus at Roslyn) has different levels, and we didn't want that, but it was a nice facility. Some of the staff were staying with the patients outside on the patio and being attentive to them.

Brookdale Roslyn (Emeritus at Roslyn) is a very clean facility. The staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating. The rooms and apartments are very nice and clean. The food was good. The dining room is very nice with clean tablecloths every meal and flowers on the tables. My mother has been there for 30 days now. They have planned activities every single day, and they have outings once a week. They lock the doors at 6 o?clock, and you need a code to get in. It has a very clean smell to it.

Brookdale Roslyn is a nice facility. The staff was very knowledgeable in their field, and they're very polite and inviting. If I was looking for a place, I would definitely use them. When I went there, the people were dining. The food smelled good. The rooms were very clean, and they kind of remind me of being like in a hotel. I thought that was really good. The price was reasonable.

I thought Brookdale was a great place, and they had good grounds. The people that took me around really gave me time to roam through and watch things. I appreciated that and popped in at different times of the day. I liked that when mother will move, she can use her deposit at another Brookdale facility. The people were great. The sales people were great and gave me a lot of information. I was ready to place my mother there.

I pre-paid $5,000 for the month. My mom passed away on the 4th. They would not reimburse the pro-rata share so I could help pay for her funeral. I call the accounting department at least 10 times with no return call. I call Brookdale headquarters and left at least 10 messages without a return call. We will have to sue them to get my money back. This is for the Denver facility. I would pick no stars but that is not available. Larry Letofsky

We thought we found another one, but it didn’t work out. It just so happened I was talking to my dad and he was driving through the highway and he was at the right at the exit of Emeritus at Roslyn. He went ahead and stopped, and that’s the one that worked out for us. It’s not just for my dad. He’s in there as companion for my mom, who’s under hospice care. He liked it, and he likes the care my mom is getting. It worked out really well for him. They do all kinds of things. There’s bingo, and, in fact, he was telling me yesterday they had flower arrangement. Two of the old guys in the flower arrangement came up and gave flowers to my mom. It made my dad feel really good. Food was very good too. However, the paperwork and financial side has kind of been confusing. I was there last week and it was still kind of confusing.

This facility was my 90 year-old mother's favorite place we visited out of 3 others visited in the Southeast Denver area. She liked it because of it's size, the service and attention provided to its residents, and the fact that they have nurses on staff. She loved the atmosphere, food, and cleanliness.

I had a good visit at Emeritus. The guide that help me tour the facility was very informative. When I was there, they were getting ready for Christmas and they were in a good mood and happy. I felt good about them. It was an older facility and the rooms were very quaint and I didn’t like it.

I've already made a decision to my husband into Emeritus at Roslyn. He is moving in the 1st. I really like that facility. It is not large and it is warm. The people are very helpful and very cooperative. As soon as I walked in there, of all the places I looked at, I knew that was the place for my husband. He is going into their memory care unit.

Emeritus at Roslyn was a really nice place. I was surprised when I visited it because I kind of thought that the skilled living part was going to be like a nursing home with the smell and stuff; however, this one was clean and fresh. It was also furnished and really homey. I was really surprised with it! They're really good. The staff was all friendly and they all pitched in and helped out. I also saw a couple of their residents and they appeared to be pretty happy there.

I visited Emeritus at Roslyn for my parents. It is not that old of a building but it is nice. It is also nice from the outside. They have like pillars and vestibule. They were doing improvement to the place when I went to visit it and that was nice. However, I didn't care for this place. I just didn't get that homey feeling during my visit. It was more businesslike. Some people may like that kind of personal contact for their parents, but I didn't like that especially with regards to my dad's dementia. They seem okay but I just didn't care for that kind of atmosphere. My mother is a diabetic and she has a walker, so I wanted Emeritus to be able to have a little more personal contact with my parents.

Emeritus seem very nice and very, very small. They were very nice people, the director and the admissions. No complaints about them at all. I checked the size of the units. Some of them are big and some of them are relatively small.

Having the nursing staff communicate with resident's family is like pulling teeth - very difficult. They should be asking for approvals for meds (like shots) from POA when resident confused.
