My mom isn't the easiest to please, and she has been happier with them. She wouldn't be able to be home without them since she is mobility-limited. I've been very happy with them. I like the fact that they are punctual since the last company's caregivers didn't even show up. We were looking around, found BrightStar, and they came out as fast as they could to do the evaluation and start quickly.

Some of the girls were really good but others were poor. Some thought they would just sit and watch her. It gave me some time to get out of the house. I had little sleep at night. I needed solid support and I felt like got some. They did give me some respite. This agency could not lift her. I had to hire two other agencies to watch her at night. There was a lot of things that they could do compared to Brightstar. I just used Brightstar because of my insurance company.

I'm never caught without a healthcare worker. If someone from BrightStar Care calls in sick, they call me and they have already solved the problem. I get a schedule every Friday so I know who is going to be here.

My loved one had somebody there. The ones she connected with her were great. The others compounded the problem. They would go outside to smoke and they would come in and we could smell it on their clothes, that was not appropriate. Half of the caregivers were great and went out of their way, and the other half I would never recommend. A few caregivers were just a body there. They were on their cell phones or asleep. The ones that went above and beyond were friendly, helpful, and got her anything she needed or wanted.

We asked for Brightstar help when we became dissatisfied with another agency. We were interviewed and problems, as well as a plan of care was quickly established. They seamlessly provided care without interruption of my mother's needs. Communication was excellent, via email. We had a schedule a week ahead of time. Occasionally, a worker called off, or quit, which meant agency had to send someone that mom wasn't familiar with. They handled it by communicating with us and familiarizing mom with caregiver first. They have taken a lot of pressure off of myself and my brothers in having to assist my parents and getting through some troubled times because we work. Please do NOT use this service for your loved ones. We used this home care service for my grandmother.The CNA taking care of my grandmother had her son and his friends come to my grandmothers house. They were in a red f150. The truck had obscene stickers on it. The boys looked very sketchy) Camie the cna allowed them into my grandmothers home. Thankfully I was there so nothing was stolen.

BrightStar Care has problems with billing the insurance. I have to keep calling the insurance company to see if they are billing them. We've had a lot of caregivers. BrightStar Care seems to have a big turnover in their employees.

There are a lot of chores I can't do myself because of my back surgery, and my husband is also not able to do much. Any help that we can get is great for us.
