We have nothing, but good to say about Home Instead. They were very helpful. We had a young lady that was very dedicated. She would help get my wife into the shower twice a week and she did that for several years. The firm would notify me ahead of time if she was ill and if we wanted a substitute or not, but we settled to not have a substitute. We just waited for the young lady to come back after she became well. They did notify us of the possibility of COVID and all the other circumstances that were prevalent at that time, but my wife hung in there for five years in a hospital bed in our living room. She was always glad to see the caregiver. The caregiver that worked with my wife was Sandy, and she was there all the time. The other ones didn't last very long. It's either they left their job or moved on to different areas. It was partially paid for by the Department of Aging and the balance was paid by me by automatic checking account deduction.

My parents are having Home Instead come into their home. They like the caregivers that are coming in. They're very friendly and easy to talk to. They're helping them with laundry and running errands to the store. The laundry room's kind of far from their apartment, so they're helping them carry it down for them. They do light organization, cleaning, and then just companionship. My parents seem a lot more alert now that they're coming in. When I'm at work, they maybe don't talk to anybody except each other, but now it seems like they're much more alert when I come over to see them, so that's nice. They seem better with their cognitive ability just because they're not by themselves all day. They help with meals. I think they got my father breakfast one morning and lunch. They make sure they eat. Scheduling and billing have been very good. Everything's very well done.

we did in home care for our mother who was under Hospice care, and we just needed some additional assistance so we could rest. This staff was amazing in all they did for our family, while our time was short with Home Instead as my mother passed it was so calming to know we had the availably for the extra assistance. My 90 yr old mother has received weekly bathing and household help for over a year. Olivia, at the agency, is prompt and courteous in communicating any changes. Our regular caregiver, Jessica, is always on time and has taught my mother new crafts which keeps her busy. This week, a young lady, Kailey came to fill in. Because of her youth, my first thought was to expect less. To my delight, she was thorough, polite, professional, and my mother was very comfortable with her. I thought of her as an old sole in a young person. I hope we see her again. Thank you Home Instead for the help and allowing my mother to enjoy her time at home. I highly recommend their service.

I receive assistance with the care of my small apartment. They have been helping me for 12 months now. Caregiver has never been late and is willing to go above and beyond if necessary. They have become extended family. I was hesitant at first with the idea of a stranger coming into my home. But, that hesitation disappeared quickly upon our first appointment. I have mobility problems, so I have my caregiver clean my floors, change my bed linens, and often do food prep that requires standing at the counter for extended periods of time, like cutting up produce, etc. My caregiver is ALWAYS here on time, and stays the whole two hours she's supposed to. Home Instead are very reliable. 90% of the people that come are very good. A couple of them were a little undertrained, but the majority of the times that my mother has had a Home Instead person, we have been extremely pleased. Sandra was here for the first six months, and she was amazing. Debra, who comes at night, is terrific. Dolores, who took over for Sandra, is also really good. All three of those ladies are wonderful. There are other ones that are really good too, but these ones are above and beyond. We have Home Instead since December. They help my mother with brushing her teeth, combing her hair, and companionship. My mother is extremely comfortable with them, especially with the ladies that I mentioned. She likes them quite a bit.
