I am/was a resident of this facility
My mother stays in the memory support unit and she loves it. She was well taken care of, the staff are so great to her. The manager was so wonderful and always helped me with our needs. The nursing staff was great about informing me on new medications or things that had happened. The set up could use a little bit of work with being more updated however the staffing is just so wonderful! They were very well organized and aware of their patients.

I am/was a resident of this facility
My stay here was an awful experience. A nightmare. My 10-day stay was characterized by unbelievable incompetence, combined with negligence, indolence and at best a comedy of errors. My single room (for which I was paying extra) was an old room what was being used as a storage room - evidenced by the several pieces of extra and leftover odd and ends of furniture in their that they could not be bothered to remove. When I checked in, they asked me if I wanted a phone, I said "no", I had a cell phone and I did not want the use of their phone, When I got bill I was charged for the phone. I was here to recuperate from knee replacement surgery. Upon arrival when they should have been expecting me (they weren't prepared and acted like they had no idea was coming though his was all set up in advance.) the wheelchair they put me in had no footpads so when they started pushing me down the hall my foot was dragging - after knee surgery they were supposed to be helping me recuperate from!!! This is a perfect example if the "caregivers" here and set the tone for the entire nightmarish 10 days I spent here. First night there: I was still under the influence of pain killers and was told under no circumstances to try to walk to the bathroom. I rang the nurse call button repeatedly. No response. They DO NOT RESPOND to the call bottom. I finally had to go to the bathroom and unsurprisingly, I fell and could not get up. It's a miracle I did not break something or hit my head on one of the "extra" pieces of furniture crammed in this room. I continued to ring the call button while remaining unable to move on the floor for 45 mins - ringing the call button the entire time. When someone finally came in they yelled, "What are you doing on the floor???!!" If you or a loved one stay here tell them to bring an air horn. They do not honor the call button. The staff spent most of their sitting at the nurses desk and not doing their jobs. There is no leadership, responsibility or accountability. They were supposed to Ice the knee and simply didn't. After one day my wife had to come in and care for me. They were so shamelessly lazy and unprofessional, they gave her the code to the door that gave access to the ice machine so I could make sure my knee was iced, their job. The staff forgot to give me my medication - a Warfarin pill - which is critical for preventing blood clots. In my experience, this type of egregious error is standard operating procedure. The food was so bad that you literally could not identify what you were eating. I can't help but wonder about the validity of these other reviews here. My wife literally had to move in and do the job the staff here should have been doing. Not getting my Warfarin shot could have resulted in a blood clot which could have killed me. I told them I wanted to check out on Friday and they gave me some nonsense about how I could not check out because the Dr. was not "available" to check me out this would have resulted in my having to pay for two additional days. I simply told them I was checking out on Saturday and did. No one seems to be in charge or seems to care how this place is being run, no quality control, etc. The ONLY upshot of this comedy-of-errors meets a nightmare-of-apathy-and-incompetence was that my physical therapist Said (pronounced Sigh-eed) was excellent. EXCELLENT. And the only reason to be there was Said. In my experience this place is staffed by largely inexperience, unsupervised, numb to their patients needs and pain and often incompetent people who are just going through the motions for an organization very possibly is motivated by little more than a desire to get insurance money and hit you up with fees for things like use of a phone. I never saw anyone who appeared to be in charge, no one asked me "how are you doing? " Or "how is your stay? And no surprise, I did not get a survey asking me about my experience. I post this so other people know what they are getting into because the reviews on this site are not even remotely close to what I experienced.

I am a friend or relative of a resident
The Orchard is very hands-on. It is clean and well-kept, and the food is good from what I understand as all of the amenities. The room has got a living room, a bedroom, a galley kitchen, and a bathroom.

I am a friend or relative of resident
My mother was a resident in both the assisted living wing and the nursing wing for over five years. I can't say enough as to the wonderful care she received. The facility is beautiful and well maintained. My Mom passed last month and the help and compassion shown by the administration and staff was caring and loving as if it were their own mother. It's a great place well worth investigating for your own family.
