The Plaza at Moanalua was nice. It's kind of like a condominium set-up. It has multiple floors. They have like 4 or 5 stories of occupants. The floor determines the type of care that the resident needs. The person who gave us the tour was very nice. They had activities for the residents. It's a big place with a lot of common areas. It's very nice over there. It's very accommodating. The only concern I had about the place was the different floors and the level of care. So as the patient needs more care, they have to move to a different floor.

As I toured the facility, it was quite evident that I was the youngest person there so although it was very nice, for now, I have decided to stay at home.

The Plaza at Moanalua was nice. The service and the employees there were very friendly and cordial. The place was nice, clean, and well kept. It's a very on-hand type of place. I was impressed with the service as well and the care. They're very informative on the care and what they did. The rooms were really clean, modernized, and well kept. Even I would go and stay there. They're having some kind of function with the residents there and some singing at that time. We walked around the area and the outdoor area as well. There was a nice area to sit and relax and just stay outside instead of just staying inside the facility, so that was nice. The food looked fine to me. I've only heard good things about the place.

The Plaza at Moanalua is close to where we live. My mother-in-law does the exercise classes. They do tai-chi and chair aerobics classes everyday. They go on little drives to different places, and she does bingo. They do have a shuttle that they can use if her doctor’s appointments are in the morning. They serve 3 meals. They wash their sheets and towels for them. They have a podiatrist and a physical therapist that come, and one or 2 days a week, they have someone who does hair. The staff is very friendly, and they’re happy to be there. They’re doing a good job.

I went to The Plaza at Monalua at breakfast time and really liked their dining room. It was more family-style, so the residents can sit down and socialize really well. I saw that their exercise class was packed. It was so popular that they needed a second class. All the residents looked very happy. It was an upbeat place with lots of activities like mahjong, games, and trips to stores and shopping areas.

The Plaza At Moanalua is a comfortable-looking facility. They had activities and people that would check in on them on a regular basis and several times during the night. They had things that kept them busy all day long, and that's what I like. They had a garden and a nice walking area, a path that goes around the premises where they take the residents walking. It seemed like they had more outside areas for the residents to walk and get fresh air.

My father is at Plaza at Moanalua. He has been there going on two years now. They’re wonderful! If he could stay there forever, I would leave him there. I have eaten the food there, and it is awesome. It is restaurant-style. The dining room area is beautiful. They also have activities galore. They have field trips, movie nights, and tailgates in the theater room. The facility is beautiful, and the rooms are nice. My father is in a two-bedroom, so he has a roommate. His room has a refrigerator, a microwave, and a sink area; there is no cooking, though. It also has a bathroom. The staff goes in and cleans it once a week. I recommend this community to others if they can afford it because it is expensive.

We chose The Plaza because of the convenience of the location for my parents. The rooms are good. They are spacious for what they need. What the facility could improve on is that they need to work on the nursing staff. They are too young. They are just like lazy or not efficient enough. They are just working to get money.
