I went to Heritage Waterside Luxury Senior Living for my brother and sister. Everything was excellent. The staff was terrific. It was great. I liked it because it was on the water.

Heritage Waterside Luxury Senior Living was a beautiful location. The general front sitting area was not very large, but the sitting area in the restaurant was fine. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They had a gym, a salon, and a courtyard, but no pool. The cleanliness looked very nice. We liked the larger bedrooms and they had a very nice garden area.

I liked Heritage Waterside Luxury Senior Living. When you look outside, you can see the ocean from your apartment. It was lovely and I had absolutely nothing against it, except the very limited balcony rooms and its cost. Also, they did not have a full kitchen. They give you all your food, but I would prefer a place with two meals a day, rather than three. I want to be able to cook/prepare my own breakfast or grab a yogurt and stay in for lunch. I don't always want to eat out. They had a big courtyard, a walking path, and a boat that comes to the dock every so often and they go fishing. My overall experience was still very nice. The woman I talked to was very nice, very sweet, and very helpful. She showed me everything I needed to see. The place was lovely and clean. It just didn't meet my requirements, but it might be perfect for somebody else.

I would give Heritage Waterside Luxury Senior Living an amazing review. They were very accommodating, the residents that we interacted with were very happy, and everyone knew each other by name from looking at the back of someone's head. It's just more of an independent living facility that my dad is not, at this time, able to be in. We would have wanted that for him. They can approve or reject applications to move in and that was to me, very impressive. Initially, it was disappointing because they could not provide my dad the care that he needed, but I appreciated the honesty of letting us know rather than putting him in there and him failing. They have daily activities but it was more relaxed. They would provide a few things here and there, but again, more independent living than assisted. The assistance is if you don't need a whole lot like maybe for medicine, if you have to be reminded and you need them to bring it to you, then that's good and they can do that. As far as past that, they just told us that they were not able to accommodate the needs that the doctors had for my father and I appreciated the honesty. The rooms were pristine, very neat, very organized, and very clean. Everything was very clean, no complaints about that. We were hoping that they would accept dad because of it being on the water and my dad loves the water and fishing. It didn't work out, which it wasn't meant to be. The tour we had was on short notice but they had no problem accommodating and taking us around and it was beautiful.

I stayed in Heritage Waterside Luxury Senior Living for respite. It was nice. The people that were in the front office, the reception area, were very nice. For respite, it's a nice place to stay because it's a good location. It's only a block from the beach and it has good parking. There's not that many people with cars, so you can park there easily. It has surface parking and the food is pretty good. Some meals are better than others. Breakfast is always good, lunch is usually good, dinner is kind of hit or miss. They didn't have that much of a full meal at dinner, they had the full meal at lunch. So that was OK, but I just had to get used to it. They just have kitchen cabinets and a refrigerator, but nothing else. You have to go to the main dining room for all your beverages and your food, and on our floor, they had a microwave down the hall. You could heat up things, so that was good. They had social activities almost every day. They had card games you could play. I didn't do that, but they had that and they had bingo. They had three happy hours every week with music. They had a special party for the Super Bowl. I didn't do most of those things, but some of them I did. I did the happy hour.

Heritage Waterside Luxury Senior Living has a very elegant feel. It seems to be very modern technologically. It had all sorts of monitoring systems that seemed much more sort of Big Brother-ish like they're keeping an eye on you all the time but in a good way. It's owned by just one doctor; it's not like a conglomerate. They're full, too. I went to independent living. It's glamorous. It is right on the river, so a lot of the units face the river. It has a river view. It has a lot of technology integrated into the rooms. The whole facility didn't have that friendly feel. It had more of that kind of rich person's aloof feel, but with a high level of care. Luxury is a good word for it. The staff was medically wise the most knowledgeable of all the people we had met on all these tours. They have a dock to the river. They have a TV room and a card game room. It seemed like the staff was accountable all the time, so they had these electronic boards in the hallways the staff had access to. They always knew who they were supposed to check on and when. It seemed like you would be more comfortable knowing that your loved one was really looked after or they wouldn't fall through the cracks, so to speak. They would know if somebody missed a shot or a pill or whatever. Medically-wise, I think it's more on top than all the rest.

First let me say the only reason I left was to be near my daughter and her family. I loved Heritage Waterside. I had a beautiful two bedroom, two bath apartment on the second floor with ample kitchen space. All levels of staffing were efficient, friendly and courtious. The activities staff were exceptionally wonderful! We had Wacky Wednesdays where all staff members and residents are encouraged to wear crazy outfits. Monthly donut day was also a treat. Alll holidays were celebrated with decorations and staff in cosume. Daily bingo was a BIG hit. Daily trips to the dock and pavillion were very popular especially on the days poles were set out for fishing on the beautiful Halifax river which is in full view from the courtyard and dining room. We also enjoyed Happy Hour twice a week and Sunday Sundaes. Mother's Day and Father's Day were celebrated with Parades arranged by the activities staff with local fire truck and police cars and family of residents parading through the parking lot with banners and signs while the residents sat in chairs and lined the parking lot with streamers and noise makers since Covid did not alllow us to visit in person or gather in groups. The Director is a delight and rules with an iuron fist, but gives his activities staff freedom a to be creative while providing a fun atmonsphere for the residents. I felt I was a member of a loving, caring commuity. I highly recommend this facility for you or your lovrd one.

I'm going to move into Heritage Waterside. It's a beautiful facility. It has the Intercoastal on the back end of it, and it has the ocean one block away. It's just very beautiful and really nice. They have yoga, crafts, art classes, and dog training. I didn't eat any food, but the food looked excellent.

My mother lived at Heritage Waterside before. Some of the rooms have balconies that overlook the river, but it was more expensive. She had 2 studios connected together, or adjoining studios which made a 1-bedroom. It was a little too expensive at about $6,000 a month. The staff was good. The director was not too good. My mother was quarantined twice. The food was not as good as where she's at now. It was a newer building. It's a nice building and overlooks the river. They have exercise classes and art classes. They have a pier or a wharf that they keep locked, but they can walk out there. That is kind of a nice feature. They would get a group together to walk out there to see dolphins or go fishing. It is something other places don't have. They had a lot of reading and bingo (though every place has bingo). She was there in the heart of the pandemic, so they had to close some things down. The value for the money is below average. The director could be more professional, but maybe that's just me.

I have been a resident Since May of 2019. My stay here has been most enjoyable, being at two other locations before this really makes a big difference in what we have here. It is great to be a part of this group especially the activities that they have. We play bingo, Wii bowling, dock visits and so much more. The bus takes us to Walmart, Publix and other activities throughout the community. There are many other things to do here we go for walks in the area, we out on the dock on the river and we play lawn bowling and miniature golf with the activities director. The food is great and housekeeping is excellent all rooms are well kept. There are many other things that we do here that really make the stay worthwhile. Thank you! Sonny G

Heritage Waterside was very nice. The dining room was lovely and so was the food selection. The grounds were perfect and beautiful. It was all brand new, so everything was clean. The staff was very friendly. They showed me rooms with gorgeous furniture, and they're absolutely stunning. However, the rooms that you go for a short stay were completely different and not as inviting. It was very deceiving.

We toured this community for our grandfather who is looking for Assisted Living. The views of the water were spectacular, especially the studio facing the river, every employee we encountered was cheerful and helpful in answering questions that pertained to their department. Chef George appears to have a great dining program that allows for everyone's liking. We look forward to the type of lifestyle this community will be giving to my grandfather.
