I toured The Landing at Carmichael. It was really nice. I liked the way the mail was delivered, and it was inside. You just go there and get it with your key. It was very quiet and nice. There weren't a lot of people there that I could see, and I've seen the library and the cafeteria. They have a music room. They have everything. Everything was very clean and very secure. It would have been perfect for me.

I am a resident of The Landing at Carmichael. For the overall price, it's decent. The management is not wonderful neither is the administrator, she does nothing to help you. The apartments are a little small but cheaper, and you are paying for the price. The food is better than what it was when I first got here.

I toured The Landing at Carmichael and my biggest concern is the parking situation. The cars were parked too close to the building. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, very polite, and friendly. They answered all my questions. They were welcoming and I spent a lot of time with them. They have a small dining room and a library. My mom likes it.

The tour at The Landing at Carmichael was prompt. They met on time with us, in a private room, gave us some background of the facility, and showed us their main living room on the first floor, and a smaller, but equally nice living room on the second floor. We saw a one-bedroom model and an empty one-bedroom. The flooring was tiled laminate, really nice though, and we also saw the fitness room and a very nice outside courtyard. It's a small complex, but everyone seemed pretty friendly and approachable. They provide housekeeping, and two meals, but it will be moving to brunch, so one meal a day, and dinner on your own. The one-bedroom has a modified, small oven and refrigerator, but it's enough for a single person, and they also provide a microwave. Lots of activities including happy hour, events, and transportation. You can sign up for travel. It's around a lot of amenities in the community as well as some nice parks. The staff is very informative, and detailed, and a very good representation of their facility. They had some veterans around.

I went to The Landing at Carmichael. I liked the host. The people were super nice, and the location of it, but it was a little bit out of my price range. Everything looked fine. It's a good tour. The staff is very cordial and very informative. The structure looked fine. As far as the cleanliness it wasn't bad. The studio apartment that I looked at was under construction, so you couldn't get a real -- because you could see the walls and stuff, but they were doing some remodeling. It was small for the amount of money they were asking. The least I liked would probably be the traffic. It's on a busy road, but it does set off a little bit, and it's walkable. You had a church across the street, which was fine, you had groceries and stuff, so the location was good.

I moved into the Landing at Carmichael. The meals are wonderful. I like the people. The staff and the residents are great. They're very friendly here. They take you to the grocery store or wherever you need to go. It's very convenient for a person to live here. They're very hospitable, as they will make it the way that you need it. The facility is very clean. There is a garden courtyard. There is an area where you can go and smoke. They have laundry facilities on the premises, as far as washers and dryers go. There is a barber, a beautician, and a manicurist who come. I can say everything's here that a person would need.

The Landing at Carmichael was fine. I didn't see anything wrong with it. I saw the studio that they had and they wanted $1800 for a little room like that and that's too much, but it was clean. The person that gave me the tour was a nice lady and was nice telling me everything about the place and introducing me to a lot of people. The dining area looked fine. They were very friendly people.

The Landing at Carmichael was very quiet. The apartments were very neat and very clean. It's not my type of area, but other than that, it was well kept up. The staff was very nice and accommodating to the people that stay there. I got an invitation to come back for a meal there. They were finishing eating but I saw the eating area and it was nice. The food they served was of good standing. They had activities. They had yoga, tai-chi, happy hour, and stuff of that nature. They had entertainment on different nights and activities. I didn't look at their board other than just kind of glanced at it and saw a happy hour and asked what that was. I saw birthday parties for birthdays of the month.

I went to look at The Landing at Carmichael, and they were very nice. It looked like a good place to live. I like that they were so friendly and that the residents seemed really happy there. The facility was very clean. They had a beautiful backyard. It was just gorgeous. They had two canopies with outdoor seating. The apartment I looked at was too small. The 1-bedroom would have been perfect, but I can't afford it. They had a calendar of all the activities that were going on. They have music, bingo, and a craft room.

I toured The Landing at Carmichael. It was a good tour. It's a possibility, for sure. It's definitely on the list. I like the facility and the price. They have a great staff. They're very friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. It seemed like they had plenty of staff. The rooms were nice. The one bedrooms were nice. Everything looked new. They're good-sized. The studios were quite a bit smaller without the kitchen, but they're fine. The common dining area had some tables and chairs. It was cafeteria style. The grounds were nice. They had a nice little outdoor courtyard. It was gated and that was pretty good. They had laundry, they had game rooms and stuff, they had TV/movie rooms, and they had like a meeting/ballroom for activities and stuff.

The people at The Landing at Carmichael were very nice, but the place was a lot older and they weren't being renovated or anything. The doorway into the bathroom was very narrow and I have a scooter. I would not have been able to get into it. The living atmosphere was good because it's right next to Carmichael Park and I have two little dogs, so that would have been good for them. At that time, they did not have transportation that I could use, so other than the park being right there, there wasn't any reason for me to rent there.

The person that was supposed to give me a tour at The Landing at Carmichael wasn't able to attend. So when I went in, I had the person who worked in the office give me a bit of a tour. I really appreciated their efforts. Everything was neat. Everything was perfect. The only thing was the price. The rooms were also smaller, but everything else was nice and looked clean. The dining area was very roomy.

The Landing at Carmichael is a reasonable place with a very good and caring staff. Everyone is great here. They care for everybody and they are very observant. I feel comfortable and quite safe. The food is excellent, too. I have a small studio. It's not as big as I would like, but it's very functional, clean, and nice. They have bingo four times a week, an ice cream party, a root beer float party once a week, a happy hour down in the courtyard on Friday afternoons, and trips to different places. We also have a walking club that walks over to Carmichael Park on Saturdays to the farmers market, an activity room, and all kinds of board games. It's just a very nice place to be and everybody is very friendly and very upfront.

I toured The Landing at Carmichael. They did a virtual tour, and at first, I was willing to go there and live until I drove there and looked at it, it was nothing that I expected it was. I didn't even stay to talk to the staff after I saw what it was like. It was terrible. The apartment was super small. And that's another thing, I thought it was bigger, but it wasn't. It was super small. In the video, it looked bigger, and I was shocked at how different the video compared to what it was. I was surprised. The staff was friendly, but the place was not what I wanted at all. It seemed more like assisted living and not independent living. There was no parking. There were carports, and the people were sitting outside under the carport in a group with chairs. It's not what I wanted at all. I didn't see a community center, and from what I remember, when the staff did the video tour, I thought there was a community center. The price compared to what you get at the other facility, didn't even compare. It did not look like independent living. There was a guy at the desk. He did not look like a receptionist, he looked more like a nursing assistant. People were walking around with oxygen. It felt more like assisted living than independent living. It looked like a nursing home. There were mattresses outside by the dumpster. It was not attractive; it made me run.

My mom has moved into The Landing at Carmichael. She's on the independent living side. It's a very comfortable, very nice place, and a very clean place. The people there are very nice too and the management is really good. I have no complaints about it. The staff is very helpful and they're very comfortable to talk to. They're willing to talk to you, you can ask them things and they share information with you. They're very helpful when it comes to food distribution and looking after my mother because she can't have milk. They're very accommodating to her on that. They take care of their people. They have a person that comes in and they do karaoke and other things. I don't know all of them exactly because I don't have the calendar in front of me, but they publish a calendar every month that has activities on it. They have movie nights and a lot of other activities. They have a bus that takes people if they want to go shopping or if they need to go somewhere to doctor's appointments and things. They accommodate the people there with that.

I went to see The Landing at Carmichael. It's independent, but I think they also serve people that need assisted living because I saw several people that were in wheelchairs. The staff was excellent. A lady there showed me around and it was nice. The only thing is that they served meals and things, and I don't need that. Even though I'm a senior citizen, and I do have a handicap, I like doing things on my own. The cooking, meals, and whatever outings they have going on, I'm all right not having that. I'm simple and if I think I needed that, I would get into a place that would accommodate me with that. Even with the handicap, I still get around pretty well. The apartment was okay, it was a little smaller because the one that could accommodate 2 people would be larger and I understand that but the one we saw was a little small. I'm a little claustrophobic so it just wasn't the space for me. It's not even a 1-bedroom too, I think it was just a studio. It had a small refrigerator and I don't recall seeing a stove. Maybe they were fixing it but I didn't get a chance to see it. I saw their dining area and it was nice. The upkeep was superb, I saw nothing out of place. I know the lady said they had certain outings and exercises. They take them to the doctor and also take people out to do things. They schedule activities for them. It was nice but it was just out of my range.

The Landing at Carmichael came, picked me up, and took me. This is the only place that I have found that's available. Their staff was the sweetest. I got to meet some of the people and they all had smiles on their faces. Everybody was jovial. I felt comfortable there. The only thing is I'm struggling with the studio. I'd prefer to have the one-bedroom because the studio is very small, but if that's what I have to do to get in there and then get established, then maybe I can move up. It's a little more than what I can afford, but you get your utilities, you get two meals a day, they do your housekeeping, and they do your laundry. The studio has a little refrigerator and a little microwave. I won't be going down for dinner because it's $250 more a month, and stores were within walking distance. There's a beautiful park. I'm really happy with The Landing because they have reached out to me numerous times. I'm impressed. The staff was very friendly. The chef came out and every time you talk to someone, they were smiling. The staff was very accommodating. I had lunch there and it was very, very good. I took a tour and I'm really happy with the complex. It's the friendliness and the cleanliness that impressed me. They interact with all of the residents and they have things going on every day to get you active and involved. You have a schedule and you can look and see what you want to do for that day or if you don't want to do anything, you can go sit, read or watch TV. I'm leaning on moving there because all the others weren't willing to work with you, but I was impressed with The Landing because they reached out to me three or four times. The head supervisor was the sweetest. She explained everything to me and where we were going and showed me the whole complex. She sat down and I had some paperwork I didn't understand, and she helped me go through it, which most people wouldn't do. I was impressed, and she has contacted me twice since I've been there. They're reaching out, where others are not. They made me feel really good. When I went to the visit, I had a good feeling about the facilities. The residents were very, very friendly and smiling. Even the staff was very friendly and smiling. It just made me feel good that somebody was taking that time to show me the facilities, sit down with me, talk to me, and help me with paperwork that I didn't understand.

I'm moving to The Landing at Carmichael. It has a studio. They have an elevator. They serve breakfast and lunch, and if you want to, you can buy supper. They have a service that if you want to go to church, go shopping, go to the doctor, they do that for you. I didn't eat there, but a couple of people that I talked to said it was very good, so I'm going to take their word for it. They're right by a shopping center that has Wal-Mart, CVS, and different things. They're very considerate on the phone. If Natalie isn't there, she calls me within an hour, sometimes within five minutes, the same way with the other lady that's there. I'm pleased with them.

I liked that The Landing at Carmichael had at least two-day rooms where there's a TV and sitting areas. They got an alternative kitchen if you want to cook your meals and a computer station for the residents to share. Everything was explained very well during the tour and they were very friendly. A lot of people were open to saying hello and made you feel welcome, even while you're just considering it. I got a chance to peek in at the dinner hour, and the food looked appetizing. Everybody seemed to be enjoying their food. They have a dinner option, which is like a regular hot meal, and soup and salad for lunch (which I find to be pretty accommodating), and then a continental type of breakfast in the morning. It was almost evening time when I was there, so they were doing more routine reading and stuff like that, but there were several rooms, including what looked like a large hall area where they do a lot of their indoor activities like ceremonies, meetings, and extravaganzas. It was a pretty large room and was very well-decorated for larger events. Then they had another room where it was set up for gaming and stuff like that where they could do individual games. They had a calendar on the wall posted of all the events that they do, and it was full. They have an activities coordinator on staff and now they're preparing for the holiday, so she was busy doing that. They had an exercise room that had a couple of bicycles, a couple of chairs for meditating or stretching, and some light workout equipment. They're very good with their activities.

I have moved into The Landing at Carmichael. It's spotlessly clean. The people that work here are well-trained. The food is wonderful. I love this place. It's the first place I picked. I'm a retired property manager, and I worked at high rises like this, so I had very high standards for how people were treated and how the building looked, et cetera, and this one is right up there. Everything is positive. They have activities, and it looks like a variety of them. I just moved here and I'm in the process of settling myself, so I haven't taken advantage of anything. But I see them on the calendar, and as soon as I get myself organized, I'm going to take advantage of it.

The Landing at Carmichael is a nice facility. The people are warm and friendly. Natalie in particular, I believe her title is executive director, is very professional, engaging, charming, and creative in terms of finding solutions. In my case, I had too many pets and she came up with a cool solution, which was to see if other residents might want to adopt one. I found that very heartwarming. They seem to be dedicated to health and well-being. It's independent living. During the tour, I saw the facilities, the activities schedule, and their menu. I visited the dining room and the common areas, and those were all very nice. The menus looked appetizing and the common outdoor spaces were also absolutely beautiful. It was clean and they were doing renovations. The areas that are updated are very nicely updated. Some areas are undergoing renovations, but I wouldn't downgrade that because they're performing the renovations.

I toured The Landing at Carmichael for a loved one. It's very nice and very orderly. There are nice staff all around from the front desk, all the way to the kitchen employees who cooked the food for them. The residents are very nice and very welcoming. I would say that overall, from what I saw, everything was very, very in order, very together and definitely a community-based area. It was a very quiet community, too. They had lots of activities, and it seems like a lot of people are very involved. Their cook is actually a very renowned chef that came from a casino in Las Vegas, so he kind of puts spins on things and switches it up and apparently everyone loves the food. I wish I could have tried it. They have bingo night and outside events in their little courtyard. I think like last week they did a little luau, so they had the streamers and lights. They had everyone come out, those who wanted to participate, to be able to have some good food, games, meet the other residents, and be around other people. They have game nights, a lot of board games, and stuff like that. It's all on a calendar. Every single day, there's something. Everybody in the month whose birthday it is, they acknowledge those individuals' birthdays. It's all really, really coordinated and the attention to details, I think, is wonderful. So that's something that I liked. The last thing I said as I was walking out, I asked the lady and said to please give me an email or phone call if this ever goes under fifty-five plus, because I would love to move there. They're all very nice. She's free to leave, come and go whenever she wants. She'd have visitors and all that.

The Landing at Carmichael was a beautiful place. It's just too expensive. It's very clean, and the people were very caring. They offer breakfast and dinner. I saw the trays that they were bringing in and they looked very good and very healthy. The room was nice and clean, had new paint, and the carpet was nice. It was a very nice place. They have free laundry, so that was very accessible. They have activities almost every day, exercises, a salon where you go get your hair done, and they have a shuttle that will take you to the supermarket for your groceries. The staff was great, very caring, and explained everything in detail. Everything was functional and looked new.

I went to look at The Landing at Carmichael. The facility looked OK, and the room was OK. It's just the location didn't quite sit well with me. The rooms are actually right on the sidewalk. They have other rooms farther back that are away from Fair Oaks Boulevard, so they assured me that there are other rooms that are not right on the street. I didn't see those, though. I can't say much about any of the amenities because I haven't experienced any of them. All I did was walk into a room and walk through the dining hall in the hallway; that's basically it. The lady who took me on a tour was very nice. The room was an empty one-bedroom apartment. The problem for me was that it directly faced Fair Oaks Boulevard. It was OK, it was nice, and it was clean. I didn't have any problem with that, but I had a problem with the parking and a problem with location on Fair Oaks. That's the problem with that. The dining area was a restaurant.

The Landing at Carmichael looked comfortable. It's not very big, but it's all right. The staff was excellent, and it was a clean, kind of joyful place. They have an ice-cream social every week and happy hour, and the outdoor spaces were clean and pleasant. It's laid out fairly well too. Once you get to know the place, it's a lot easier to get around.

My uncle and I didn't like The Landing at Carmichael, but the staff did their best in giving us the tour. The place was just kind of dingy and the rooms had a smell to them. The halls were pretty narrow and not as bright as the other two places. It was hard to maneuver his wheelchair or to turn it around. I really didn't care for the place. Because of the virus, none of the places I visited showed food. They showed us the dining room, and it was very small. It was like a large bedroom size or like a house living room. It only had two long tables with chairs on each side, but it was not open for eating because of the virus, so they were serving in the rooms. The carpet in the rooms looked clean, but there was a certain old odor when I entered the room, and their rooms were much smaller than the other two we visited. They were serving at the time when we were there, and the food looked really simple and plain.

The Landing at Carmichael is very nice, I liked it. I thought the grounds were nice and well maintained. The woman that we spoke to was very friendly, she's awesome. I really enjoyed meeting her. Everyone that we came in contact with that worked there was extremely friendly. The rooms seemed nice. The ones we saw were not yet ready -- they were being fixed -- they were a little older, but they were fixing them up and I liked what they were doing with it. The community is smaller than the ones that I looked at. She showed us the menu and it was amazing and looked really, really good. If the food is as good as what they're cooking, I would highly recommend them.They also had some nice community rooms, and had a group playing bingo when we were there. They also had a big bistro room when we first came in, but with COVID, a lot of stuff was not used as much as they could. I think the facility was nicely run too. I think they try really hard and do take care of the people there.

The food has improved a lot since the new chef has come on board. I especially liked the shrimp salad and almond cake that I had last Tuesday.. It was all very tasty. The Landing at Carmichael is like going back into the 1950's. It has an old stove in the kitchen like an old hotel. You go down the hallway to go to the room. The lady I talked to was really nice. I didn't get to inquire with other tenants there, but I did see multiple old cars there. I thought it was too much money for what the accommodations were, and what I've seen there, because it was a pretty old apartment. They have smaller studios, but even the one-bedroom was pretty small. At first they didn't have any wheelchairs to get around the facility with, so the staff brought an electric wheelchair, and it's really nice because I was able to get around the premises with it. They need some upgrades, there's supposed to be remodelling in this one area, there's nothing but chunked up concrete floors. Some old cars have been sitting there since doomsday that they never drove. They didn't have any disability parking or a carport. She brought up the amenities, but I didn't see it, then she showed me the TV room and there was one guy sitting in there. They have movie nights at certain times. She showed me a menu, the chef makes a certain meal every day, and that's what you eat. The layout of the place is kinda poorly in and out.

The facility is located in a quiet area with a lovely park across the street. The facility felt very quaint and like home. When I visited a few months ago I was given a tour. We passed by the kitchen and the food being served looked amazing. All of the residents raved about the menu their chef offered. The rooms were a good size with a great layout. Looks like a great place to call home. I will definitely consider having my loved one live here when it is time.

The lady who helped me out at The Landing at Carmichael was very knowledgeable, very friendly, and showed me everything. She told me about the extra cost that might incur and that they have a contract with somebody for medical help who comes on an emergency basis instead of calling the fire department. I was quite impressed with that. The place was very nice, and there seemed to be quite a bit of parking. I have a dog, and there's a dog park across the road. I would recommend it to anybody who's interested. Even though it's right on Fair Oaks, the facility itself is in the back part, so you don't hear the traffic. They had a big recreation room in the front, and the actual rooms were in the back.

I visited The Landing at Carmichael. They showed me all the amenities, and I looked at a small studio. It was very nice, but the studio seemed a little small. That was the only thing. It's still acceptable, but it wouldn't be my first choice. The people are nice, and the place itself looks fine, it's nice and clean. I just went there unexpectedly, I didn't have an appointment. Everything about the place but the room size is good. If someone is interested with the place, I could tell them to go ahead and look at the place. The person who gave me the tour was very helpful, nice, and went out of her way to see that all of my questions were answered. There's two of them, and both of them were very pleasant and helpful.

I thought it was very nice. I liked it, and I liked the people. However, it's on a very busy street, and I did not like that. The rooms were very nice and very attractive. I liked the place all in all. After lunch while I was there, they had a program going that the residents were all attending. They all seemed very nice, friendly, and helpful.

It’s clean and real nice. My mother is taken care of as far as I can tell. They play games in the activity room: tossing the ball, physical activities, up and down chairs, singing, and dancing. Her room is just the right size. It’s a fairly good place.
