My wife is normally the person that gives me the care and when my wife isn't available they come in and take care of the things that need to be taken care of and the impact is great and very helpful. There are multiple reasons, one the office staff when I call and request care they listen to what my needs are, and they work really hard to find somebody to meet those needs, the second I ask for people when they come in that they will listen to me, so I could direct my care and the people that they send are willing to listen, and they are very contentious and respectful.

They have an employee who comes Monday through Saturday from 9 to 1, and she knows how to read the needs of the patient. If my mom is sleeping, she will go around the house and clean stuff. She doesn't have to wait to be told what to do. They should have that girl give a presentation to the rest of the employees about what needs to be done. Others need a shove in the right direction when they get there. They just need some more training. They are a little more personal than the other agency.

They come every day, otherwise, my son or daughter would have to pitch in and take care of things, which they do on weekends, but it is wonderful to have the caregiver all the time. It makes it easy for my family. The regular caregiver took a vacation a week or so ago, and they sent a substitute, and she was a lovely and sweet girl. The regular girl is a good caregiver and a wonderful cook. I always told the previous owner that he should pay her just to be a cook because she is that good.

Right at Home has some good things and some things that aren't so good. The accounting system is having a problem getting invoices in a timely manner. I am trying to make sure that they are charging us accurately, there is a lack of transparency in the billing. Right at Home could make life easier by having accurate, clear, and timely billing. The care should be provided by consistent staff. The quality in care is not consistent and we are paying top dollar, but the service varies a lot. Some caregivers are conscientious and do what I expect of them, while others don't come back or don't do the work very well.
