I visited The Colonial at Old Camden, and we're currently in the process of moving my brother-in-law in. We chose to be there because of the price and the location -- it's close to home. I was very satisfied with the staff when I went over there. The facility is very nice, and it's a very country-looking place. It's very clean, and the yards are well maintained. It is in a nice area, too. They have a courtyard and exercise rooms.

My uncle moved into The Colonial at Old Camden three weeks ago. It's a clean place, they take care of him, and they meet all his needs. Half of the facility is dedicated to patients with memory problems or memory loss, and he's in that part that deals with people with dementia, Parkinson's and stuff like that. He's doing well, and he's in quarantine right now. They've taken all the precautions that they should be taking, they're not letting anybody in, and they've isolated him. He's in a semi-private room, he has his TV, and two people share a bathroom. They have completely private ones with their own bathrooms, but I didn't think he needed that. They do some exercise, they do physical therapy, they have a spa, and you can take their animals down there and let them visit as long as they have all their shots. They have a chef that comes in and does the cooking, and he said it tastes really good. They've just been really nice to him there. They have sing-alongs, worship services, and some of the patients get to go out on day trips. They're a little on the expensive side, but for what you get, it's reasonable.
