I moved into Nature's Point and I like it very much. One of the things I like best about it is the people. When I first toured this place, all the residents were out in the hallway and the whole staff was talking with them. The director was the one who gave me the tour and she was also very personable with the residents. I have a 1-bedroom apartment and it has a nice little living room area, a kitchen, a refrigerator, and a stove. It has a nice-sized bedroom, a closet, and a bathroom with a seat built right into the shower. I have a nice view out my window. Even though it's the parking lot, right across the parking lot is the woods. So mainly, I'd see the woods and that I enjoy. I like breakfasts. They serve a lot of food for lunch, and then the supper is a smaller meal again. Bingo is one of the activities they have a lot of. One of the things that's been so nice is we have a courtyard right in the middle of everything. And this year, a mother duck raised 13 babies out there. We can go out, plant flowers, and paint flower pots. We have happy hour on Fridays and trivia questions to answer. Everyone just enjoys one another. So when we do get together, it's fun. It's just a wonderful place to be in and I'm glad that I ended up here.

I put down a deposit on a room at Nature's Point. We chose it mainly because of the cost. I couldn't afford another place. It was pretty clean and well kept up. There's a new director, and that's the only thing I don't like about it, but the staff during the tour was pretty cool. She walked me through. I had my walker and I didn't do very well. They've got a crafts room with tables and chairs and a library. I saw residents putting puzzles together. Other than that, not much. They have a list of outings they're gonna go on to the parks and so forth. The facility was in good shape. They gave me a menu, but I didn't try the food. It's good and nutritious meals.
