This place is seriously lacking in many areas. They do not stay in contact with family members. There is no schedule. Everything is contracted out. They are way under staffed. Focus is NOT on well being of residents.

I saw first hand that calls for help were going unnoticed employees are mistreating their patients. The front doors are not locked after hours.

I am currently at Laurel Park at Henry Med Center. They are keeping me in bed 24 hours a day. I feel like if I had physical therapy I could get up and get out of here. The food is very good and the staff treat me pretty well. I have my own TV.

Very poor communication throughout the stay. My father was transferred in on 7/3/2020 and released on 7/29/2020. Staff was not responsive to calls, and they lost his very expensive hearing aids and some of his clothes. Will not use them ever again.

2 days ago I visited this facility and a older man seemed ok mentally begged me to use my cell phone. I asked him to try and relax and the nurse responded he’s fine. He said young lady I’m not fine . But I had no choice So but to walk away but my heart is broken. So if you have a brother .. father.. uncle in this awful home go check on him. It’s heartbreaking seeing one of our elders crying and begging for help and feel helpless for fear of getting yourself in trouble for helping them. Do some research on the owners of this facility.

I witnessed numerous neglect . Patients screaming for help and no assistance. Patients begging me to stay with them because they were afraid. Dirty rooms. Residents not bathed. Food trays left for hours. Food is terrible. I over heard a patient ask a nurse “are you a nurse” her reply not yours. Asked where I could put old tray was told to take it to the kitchen. I did kitchen staff said leave it in the room. Finally the patient I was visiting I found in a wheelchair in pee and poop and couldn’t even speak. Finally I talked to the director and was told to mind my business I wasn’t family. Then she called the family and told them I was interfering with her care. After 6 hours she was transferred to ER. And been in the hospital since. This facility does not care and it’s true they get very offended when you do. I’m so sad about the people there that have no advocates because no one is their voice especially those in charge. Had one person come to that works there begging me to have my friend moved. I’m sure she has been fired by now because she was very upset about the care. Shared rooms are small . Dirty ceiling tiles. Interaction with staff are met with frowns. If you are bedridden nothing . They just leave you in a room.. I didn’t look at the amenities I was too busy worried about these poor folks. Stop leaving your family to the mercy of these strangers.

I was a patient from 11-16-19 to 12-5-19 for PT and OT after hospitalization for bacterial pneumonia. The PT and OT and top notch, however the patient care leaves something to be desired. They are very understaffed on CNAs so response time when you ring your bell can be 30-45 minutes. Once I was able to get myself in and out of bed and to the bathroom I was much better off. I was there for therapy so I was willing to put up with the less than optimal patient care and food.
