I am/was a resident of this facility
The decision for you and your family members who have concerns about your well being, your contentment with life and dealing with the trauma of your leaving home, is the toughest one for any family to make. There is always the looking around at all available places to find the right one. This, of course, is a huge decision for everybody. These problems were met with ease and sincerity by the folks here at Atria Encinitas.
I am the resident and my daughter and granddaughter did the looking. Because I had no previous experience with any facility offering care to Senior Citizens and - I had no idea whatsoever what I would be happy or unhappy with, I could not concentrate on any place. Well, to my surprise and delight I have had no problems that I couldn't cope with. First of all I met a lovely person that I had much in common with and we became good friends. That has been a savior to me when I am in the area of discontent because I was still not sure that I wanted to leave my home.
I have made many friends here, enjoy the staff completely, and look forward each day to whatever is going on that I can participate in. I have a lovely room that fits all my needs and, even though it took a little time for me to get acclimated I am enjoying myself completely.
It is a real pleasure that I have this competent safety net to rely on and would recommend anyone that needs it to take a tour now.

We were very impressed with Atria Encinitas, and we enjoyed it, made some good friends, and I was sorry that I had to leave them, but at our advanced age, we've decided we would be better off living next to our daughter. They had movie nights, shopping trips, and trips for sightseeing, which we didn't participate in because we have our own vehicle, but many residents did and they enjoyed it a lot. There was a beauty shop, and they had a very nice library with books available and coffee or tea if you wanted it. It was more than adequate. The staff members were all excellent, very friendly, warm, and kind. I would recommend it to anyone who needed to live in a community with other people and have someone to look after them a bit. The food was very, very good, well-prepared, and decent.

I am a friend or relative of a resident
My uncle is in Atria Encinitas. We were very impressed with the staff, the facility, and everything they offer. They staff was able to tell us and give us everything we needed. They have field trips and all sorts of things that they do every day. They work as a community. They have a dining room that’s open from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. and they served anytime during those hours. Meals can be delivered to the room if they don’t like to eat in the dining room. They have limited parking, but it was okay and in terms of cleanliness, they are terrific.

I visited this facility
We were very surprised that Atria Encinitas had only three 1 bedroom apartments -- all the others were studio apartments. The 1 bedroom unit we saw felt small, and there was no stove top, oven, or microwave, only a sink and tiny fridge and seems overpriced for what it is. It is not a good match for what my friend needs and wants
I am sorry we could not accommodate your preferences at our community and would like to share information about some of our other great communities in the area that might be a great new home for your friend/better suit your friend’s needs. Please feel free to reach out via email@example.com if we can be of further service to you. We are here to help!

I visited this facility
I'm moving in at Atria Encinitas North as soon as I get my house sold. This facility was absolutely lovely. It was like a resort. They did have tons of things for activities. They did have an ACBL bridge there. I play bridge twice a week so I'm thrilled with that. They also have good beginner exercise classes. They did have a wonderful library, a beauty shop and computer room. They would provide transportation for doctor's call or wherever you want to go. With regards to food, they would provide snacks even sandwiches and stuff available in the hallways 24 hours a day. They even have a wonderful coffee maker which is also available 24 hours a day. They have a beautiful restaurant with menus and that's included in the price. For accommodation, it's just a room. I will have a bedroom, a bath, and a little kitchen area. There's also a room for my computer, TV and books. Regarding the staff, everybody there was extremely helpful. However, we were absolutely floored by this maintenance man. He had put in a new toilet that I asked for at no additional charge of any kind. He just wanted the room to be good for me for what I need and want.
