The facilities and staff are great. Everyone we have worked with was well informed and could answer our questions.

A family member is a new Resident in the community, and our experiences from the initial tour through move-in and the first few weeks of residency have been exceptional. Mario has been our key point of contact from day one and is always available for questions and guidance. He has spent several hours with our family member visiting and encouraging her as she gets acclimated. His assistant, Danielle, has filled in for him in a completely seamless manner. The Assisted Living Manager, Jamie, and her care team have gone above and beyond in ensuring our family member (and her dog) have had the care required by new residents. Matt ensured the televisions and phones were installed in her apartment prior to our taking occupancy which eliminated any last minute flurry and chaos for our family member. The apartment is a lovely, light filled space with sufficient room for many of our family member’s personal possessions making it a comfortable space for her. I would highly recommend Watermark to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful environment when living at home is no longer an option.

My father has been at The Watermark at Cherry Hills since the end of July. The facility is really nice and very homey. It's a great transition from going to perhaps personal living into a place that's a little bit more helpful with more types of special needs that a person needs as they grow older. They certainly accommodate quite a bit. The staff is incredibly helpful and positive. We've enjoyed it. They have several selections of rooms. They can be in a 1-bedroom apartment, a 2-bedroom apartment or a studio, and my father stays in a 1-bedroom. Because of Covid, activities are a little complicated, but they have a really nice dining area, a theater, a workout room, beautiful grounds, and private rooms for family parties or special dinners. They have a lot of really comfortable and attractive seating areas, and they have a salon if you need a haircut, which I thought was a nice addition.

Elan Santa Monica was very clean and modern-looking, everything was up-to-date. Each room had kind of a kitchen area which I really like because it's not anything overdone. In the common areas there seemed to be a lot of good interaction between the residents and the staff, and people looked very happy to be there. I had a very positive impression of this community. I liked this place the best, it was really nice.

Elan Santa Monica was very nice and clean. The rooms looked comfortable. Unfortunately, it was out of our price range. The interior of the apartment was very nice, and I liked that it was very clean. They had the proper amount of space for a single person like my dad. It would have worked fine for us if the price had been better. The lady that I worked with that gave me the tour was very pleasant.

I liked Elan Santa Monica. They had their residents engaged in different activities, and had a little movie theater, computer classes, and a workout area. The residents seemed happy. The person who gave me the tour was knowledgeable and friendly. I didn't see the staff that engaged with residents. I saw their dining room, a library, and an arts and crafts room. You had your options of having a little kitchenette or just a room. The kitchenette area was very sensible because it didn't have a stove, just a microwave, which for older people would be safer than having a stove top. They offer respite care based on availability.

My dad is at Elan Santa Monica, and I couldn't be happier. He is quiet and in the memory care. I transferred him from a rehabilitation center to this facility a month ago. Of all the facilities I saw, this is the best. They are doing the best they can with my father, and I have someone coming in to do the rehabilitation for him. It's very nice and new. The food is very good. The management is very good, and I don't have any problems with the administration. I recommend it to anyone looking for a facility. He has Parkinson's, a rod from a fracture that he received, and onset dementia. They have many activities, but he is not participating at this time because he can't walk yet. They have outings, do puzzles, and have a church service that comes in. It's a really beautiful facility. All the facilities are overrated and expensive, but this is the least expensive of all that I had seen.
