Neumega (oprelvekin) is a drug that is a thrombopoietic growth factor. This drug is sometimes used for chemo induced thrombocytopenia. This drug stimulates platelet production.

Each individual is unique, and with any drug there are also side effects to take into consideration. I would recommend asking your oncologist if this drug would be considered an effective treatment for your situation.
