"Mother is in Golden Living Center since July. They seemed to provide good care. The staff is fine and provides what she needs. They have different games, and they have different church services and get togethers. She is getting PT and OT there. She gets three meals a day, she is in a single room, and she shares a bathroom with another resident. "

"My grandmother lived in assisted living for a few years before she moved into a nursing home. She was having a lot of difficulty seeing and she just couldn't do very much anymore. Everything appeared to being going well at first. My grandmother enjoyed the help she was getting, and she said the workers and residents were all very kind. She loved the food and the church services she had the opportunity to attend. When we visited her, it seemed like she was in a very good place. Suddenly, she had a rapid decline in health. We attributed this to her old age, but we found out later that she was being neglected by the staff. They did not call the ambulance for her in a timely manner, causing her to suffer much more than she needed to. Eventually, this lead to her death. The staff did not call the ambulance in time and my grandmother went into cardiac arrest and died. "

"I went to Vista Prairie at Garnette Gardens. The place was very comforting and very friendly, with lots of people to talk to, and I was welcomed there. The staff was very helpful. The facility was very clean and very nice. The size of the room was very good. I like it."

"Prairie Senior Cottages of Wilmar Minnesota are assisted living cottages. The décor and appearance of the living spaces is very homey and residents really enjoy the autonomy of having their own space with the security of knowing that staff is available 24 hours per day if they ever need anything. I am in the social service field and have seen many facilities, this one is very nice and clean and the staff is attentive to the needs of residents. The seniors I visited were happy that they could continue to cook their own meals and do normal activities of daily living, just as they did before they moved there, but with help available when needed. Seniors were involved in planning and preparing their favorite meals, which made them feel more like they were in their own home environment. Some of the living environments were set up for communal living for those with memory loss, but I visited seniors who lived in the more apartment units with private bathrooms."

"My mom is in Bethesda memory care. It's a well-built and clean place. Her room is clean and comfortable. The staff is good, they're wonderful. The food and the dining area are clean and functional. They have all kinds of different events, games they play, and they go out for walks. The outdoor spaces are good. Everything about the whole place is acceptable."

"My wife has had some therapy at Bethesda, so we’re familiar with the people. They’re in the process of rebuilding. The rooms are good -- small but nice. They have an activities person, they have Bible studies, and all kinds of activities. The food tasted good, and my wife always liked it. The staff is knowledgeable. We liked it there. "

"I was impressed with Island View Manor. I like their staff too. The facility has an elevator. There’s always a staff member inside my friend’s room to answer the door. I have recommended this facility to someone. The room’s layout is not the open type. When the staff is in the kitchen, my friend could not interact with them when she is in the bedroom. "

"They were very friendly at Vista Prairie at Copperleaf. One of the residents was real gracious to let us in and see the kind of space there was. One of my favorites parts was going past the dining room. The people were just enjoying each other's company. They showed us the courtyard, movie room, card room, and gym with the equipment. They have many different sized rooms, and they also offer apartments for couples. They treated us well, and they did a call back to see if we were interested. They're very nice people. It's a topnotch facility."

"I toured Woodstone Senior Living Assisted Living. The place was clean and neat. It's very transition-appropriate. It goes from senior apartments to assisted living and goes to memory care, which is very nice. The staff was friendly, nice, and well-educated. The food looked great. The menus looked good and there were options for everyone. They had bingo."
