Allerton House at the Village at Duxbury Continuing Care Retirement Community

My folks are living at The Village. I am very impressed with their quality of care, the facility, and their employees. The rooms are very pretty. They have a variety of room sizes as well as garden apartments. I have eaten there, and the food is quite good. There are three dining areas. One is a pub, one is a café which is casual, and one is white cloth dining. They have activities like bridge, and there’s live music that comes in. They also have transportation to and from various outside performing arts activities.

The Village in Duxbury is a beautiful place. We visited the facility and it's very pleasant. The people are wonderful. The food is excellent. The rooms are very adequate, but it all depends on how much money a person got and that's the very first thing you have to look at.

This is a wonderful, caring, loving environment for any elder person needing extra assistance. It is immaculately clean, bright, well furnished and maintained. Families should be out to rest that their loved one will receive quality care and attention. There is wonderful programming and a continuous buzz as residents enjoy physical, cognitive, and social therapy. The staff are loving and professional. You get the sense that they truly care about the residents, and the feeling seems to be reciprocated well. The meals provided are nutritious and well catered to meet a variety of dietary restrictions. The dining areas are beautiful, much like a well appointed restaurant. At least once a week there are organized outings to local venues, providing the residents with a very fulfilling social calendar. At least twice a year there are hosted gatherings for the residents to include their family and friends , ie a summer BBQ etc overall this is a beautiful place that anyone would be proud to call home.
