I went to Atria Park of Lafayette. It's near the highway. It's a nice area. When I walked in, the lobby was very nice. The one thing I didn't like was the price. I was shown a studio, but it was a big studio much bigger than the one at the other place. But the one at Atria was huge, very nice, and updated. Their common areas were the dining room, the hallways, and different community areas, and they were all very nice. The staff who assisted me was very nice and bubbly.

Atria Park of Lafayette was very clean and very nice. The staff was very helpful. She answered all my questions and she called later to check out and see if there are any other questions. She was very nice. Everything was in order, well kept, and clean.

Atria Park of Lafayette is a smaller place. I think they have a maximum of 100 residents. It's very clean and I like their memory care. It is well thought out. The director knew what she was doing. Some of the memory care facilities I visited felt more like hospitals. Atria Park of Lafayette did a really good job with how they have their memory care set up. They've got an enclosed garden and it felt homey. The rooms have high ceilings, so they feel larger than they are and they're very modern and very comfortable. It felt like a resort. The decorations and everything are upscale. One of the selling points about that place was that they would not pressure my mom to interact with anyone unless she wants to do so. She is a private person and she's not used to being around a lot of people. Another selling point was they love cats. My dad has an emotional support cat and they said that his cat can be included in his care.

Atria Park of Lafayette was very elegant and comfortable. If my father were to move there, he would be comfortable. I think he would take advantage of a lot of the activities, games, movie nights, and happy hours. There are just a lot of options that I think he would enjoy. It looked like the studio we toured would be manageable for him. Because he's handicapped, he would not do well in a full-sized unit, so we toured the studio. He would only need a studio, and I appreciate that they have different options for the seniors. My father would need somebody to be there more at night to help him, and assisted living doesn't necessarily provide that. Now, I don't think that's a negative review because this place is just not his level of need right now. I think he needs something a little bit more comprehensive at this time. He has very bad anxiety at night, and he would need more attention at night than this place would care to give him. They pretty much said the button he has is for emergencies. Like he would need to be able to pick up and dial in number if he needed help, and that's just above his level, that's like something he can't manage. Everything was cozy and nice. I know it was a hot day then, but it was a little hot in that facility.

My sister-in-law is in Atria Park of Lafayette. It's a beautiful setting and the people were superb. It's a smaller group of people that were in the memory care part of the facility, and I felt there was more one-on-one. She is doing well there. The caregivers know all the people by the first name, and they hug them. They have lots of activities going on and it felt homey to me. The staff is great. Everybody knows everybody. They know all the residents by the first name. They communicate with them, they talk to them, and they just seem very caring. I went one day and it was lunchtime. She was eating and it was at least halfway through, so were the others, and they ended up bringing me a couple of pieces of chicken to eat with her. I didn't particularly care for it, but it looked good. It didn't taste horrible. It is very clean, and it's in a lovely setting. It's very pretty. The hallways are all straight. There aren't any little cubbyholes to go through or any little extra doors to go through, and I guess that helps the person know where they're going. It's beautiful. We have played bingo here, they sing all the time, and they play a game like where they push the ball up in the air. She did not seem that interested in doing any of that stuff because she's never done it before, but now it does seem like she's doing a few things. She even danced the other day. I checked a whole bunch of places and I think they all are pretty much in the same price range. One thing that led me to this place is they had a special going on. They only were charging one-half of the community fee in November. They have a podiatrist coming next week. They seem to be up on what the needs are of their clients.

I did a tour of Atria Park of Lafayette. They seemed really good, but it was more of the patterned fabrics and brass. It had like an older feel to it with the interior. The people seemed awesome. I thought the staff were super accommodating, even though it is a little bit older and whatnot. I would not have had a problem going there. The food didn't seem quite as delicious, but the decor seemed a little bit more older; not older in terms of like the age of the decorations, but just older in terms of the clientele. Everyone is super friendly. The location is great, and the maintenance seemed great. It was really good. They kind of did like a big thing; they were saying goodbye to one of their beloved staff members, so everyone was out and kind of celebrating. Everyone seemed fantastic that day. In terms of the menu and what I saw when I was walking through the dining room, it looked really good. Everything looked like it was good; nothing out of order. It's super clean and no scuff marks. The facility looked really good. I guess the decor just wasn't really my cup of tea.

Atria Park of Lafayette was very nice, but it didn't have the feel of home that my mom felt at the other place. The residents were probably more debilitated. My mom still has an active mind even though she has dementia, but that was my impression. The staff was nice, and the rooms were lovely. I remember seeing a game like bingo and there were a lot of people participating. The staff gave us quite a tour, but I don't have a really good recollection. My mom didn't like it, so we just kind of moved on. She said, "I don't see myself living here." It's in a beautiful location. It's a tall building, so the views were very beautiful. There were views of trees. It's not in the middle of a city. It's more set off from the city. The rooms were very nice. The entrance was beautiful. I would rate it high for the appearance of the building and the facilities.

My mother was in Atria Park of Lafayette. I was trying to find something where she could move in right away, 'cause we only have a couple of days notice, and they could take her. She was under respite care. Because of COVID she was kinda bored, 'cause she mostly stayed in her room, but it was mostly good care. There was like one or two times where the person didn't wear a mask, and so that upset my mom, but other than that it was fine. She said the food wasn't that good. Her room itself was nice, it was a one-bedroom, she was in a wheelchair, so it's wheelchair accessible. She couldn't get around the facility by herself, but it had a nice outdoor courtyard where she could have visits.
