I liked Alafia Village. It’s a nice place, and we will place my mother there. The staff is friendly, nice, approachable, and take an interest in the residents. They have a salon, and the rooms are a little small, but you get what you pay for. They have different church denominations, board games, and Wii.

Alafia is beautiful. I think the staff is very knowledgeable and their attitude is fabulous. They’re very professional, very caring, and do anything you ask them to do. I can’t say enough good things. We paid a very large deposit that’s nonrefundable to get my mother there, and we didn’t mind. It was thousands of dollars and it was OK because they redid her entire room. Every time someone moves out, they get a complete new room and totally redo everything. I believe their care and staffing is fabulous. They gave my mother a life necklace included in her care to wear and all she has to do is push it if there's trouble. It’s amazing, and we love it. She’s only been there for four days. Her room is spacious. The only thing it doesn’t have is a stove, but they have a café that’s open 24 hours. There’s something going on every single hour, like music, therapy, and dominoes, you name it.

My experience with Alafia Village when my mother first started was great. The place was better than the other places she has been to. However, they were getting more people and there's not enough personnel. She was not being taken cared correctly. There were a few incidences where she ended up having an infection in her hand because they were not cutting her nails. They told me that it was the family's responsibility. I was going in there to wash her clothes, clean her room, give her bath, and bring her food. I realized that I'm paying all this to do that, so I might as well have her home. It wasn't a bad place, it's just too many residents and not enough personnel to take care of them and that was the problem mainly. They need to be a little bit more understanding and try to keep the employees because there's a large turnover there. The residents are the one that suffer the consequences because they don't have enough people staying long enough.

I toured Alafia Village for my mother. It was nice and clean, but the hallways were very small, dark and gloomy. It was way overpriced too.

Alafia Village is the best facility ever. They have plenty of staff who are very nice and very helpful. The rooms were larger than normal. They have crafts and they sing songs. It’s not the most modern or newest, but it’s very nice inside.

This is an opportunity I delightedly accepted as I wish to express admiration and appreciation for the working efforts of the Alafia Village Assisted Living facility. I became aware of Alafia Village when it became necessary for a very close friend of mine, to, after careful research, select this facility for his aged mother. I begin by complimenting the judiciously selected staff members whose deep concern continues to beam as the Florida sun. This facility provides outstanding care, comfort and recreational activities for each resident. For those whose cognitive capabilities allow them to embrace their senior years with excitement, there are many out-door activities, including recreational shopping a pastime we all deeply enjoy! Each of the services Alafia Village provides is centered on the complex needs of the aging generation. These services include assisted-living, short-term respite care, hospice care, with a specialty in Alzheimer's care. The Alafia Village Assisted Living facility is always exceptionally clean no matter when I have visited, and the professional staff continues to outstandingly deliver quality service. Thank you for the opportunity to express myself about this wonderful assisted living facility Alafia Village!
