We are looking for an experienced, creative and resourceful white hat Director of SEO to design and implement our SEO strategies. Working closely with the engineering, content and social media teams, you will use an analytical approach to find opportunities for optimization which support the business’ long term goals, define and develop a comprehensive and integrated SEO strategy, manage its implementation, and track and measure results. And, as a leader of the business, you will stay current on changes and best practices in SEO and continually look for ways to improve upon key business metrics and the experience we offer our valued community of caregivers.
Must Have Skills
- Proven success in search engine optimization in a competitive vertical
- Up to date knowledge of SEO and link-building best practices
- Ability to optimize various site elements, site structure, architecture, linking and content and to ensure that new content and product meet SEO requirements
- Knowledge of SEO-relevant technical issues: HTML page outline, schema.org microformats, sitemap.xml format, ATOM/RSS formats, mobile usability and related mobile ranking factors
- Persistence and organization to drive and execute link building strategies
- Deep experience and comfort with web analytics tools and their use with measuring SEO success
- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and approach to traffic measurement and engagement
- Successful experience working product and editorial teams (we work on a 14 day iteration cycle)
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability and willingness to share your SEO knowledge throughout the organization
