"Charter Memory Care of Moline was very nice and spacious, and it's arranged where you would kind of go around a circle, and then you have a big courtyard in the middle of it, which was nice. The people there were friendly, too. The staff who took me on the tour answered any questions I had, showed me everything, and showed me where they ate. They had a nice dining room, and I could have a meal with my wife if I came to visit with a slight charge. It's well arranged. They had a good menu and a pretty good selection. They had a beauty shop and a courtyard. I think one person even had a little planter box there. They had a nice room for television and stuff. They played different games, and they had dogs."

"My mom will move in here. I like the size of the rooms, the size of the hallways, the more modern assisted living, and the smaller quantity of people. I think there's like 46 beds in there. It's a nice round building, so no matter which way you do your walking, you'll always end up at your room. The staff are very friendly. The patients are all friendly and eager to help. It's a very impressive place. The appliances are there in the room, but everything else you have to bring. It's just a bare room with a refrigerator and a microwave in the kitchen. The bathroom is just a walk-in handicapped accessible shower, and there's a big closet in the bathroom. It's really nice and good enough for most people. The person who took me around was very good, very friendly, and very attentive to what we needed."

"I visited Senior Star and employees seemed to be fine. I thought the rooms were comfortable. They had transportation that would bring them to different places, and I thought somebody said about bingo. "

"We decided to stay where we are at Walden Place. It's very comfortable with very friendly people, good people to take care of the situation, excellent serving staff, and cleaning staff. They do a good job, we have no problems at all. There's family-feel with the residents, like in an apartment, but you get to know your neighbors well. I have no complaints. The food is very good generally, you have options, and you can ask things off the menu, and generally they do a very good job with that also. They have a lot of different things, every day there's something quite often something special, and last week they had something for seniors for healthy living and keeping active. They have a library, exercise room, family room, TV room, and a nice outdoor area to relax in, and laundry facilities on every floor."

"I have chosen them for my mother. The main thing for us is they seem to care for the residents and the workers seem happy to be there. The other place we toured had different, weird, unique names to it so I don't even know what they are, but here the dishes are simpler and easier to understand. According to my mom, the food is good and a lot better than the other place. The facility is very clean and open. The rooms are bigger than the biggest rooms I've seen in the other facilities that we looked at, and they're nicer and clear. They do plenty of activities but they don't push anybody to do them. They have sewing classes and trips that they take, like for ice cream, to go out to Walmart and they'd go out to eat, once they went for pizza. They're going to start a gardening club if they haven't already, they're always doing parties like recently they had a party for the Kentucky Derby. They make a big deal out of birthdays."

"All American was not my first choice; it was actually my last but they were the only ones that have available room in the area. The staff is wonderful; they helped us with a lot of stuff and a lot of paper work that he had done, and they helped file for Medicaid for my dad whereas other places wouldn’t. The only thing I noticed is that it’s kind of dark. I think they need to paint and get newer equipment, but other than that I think it would be a good place. It seems dull, but it’s very clean. They even introduced me to the head cleaner; I thought that was really good. The person who gave me a tour me was very good. I think they need to work on the rooms a little bit more as it’s very small and cramped. "

"I enjoyed visiting this facility. Things seemed a little outdated, very 70's colors. All of the residents seemed pleased, and my great aunt said that they had a lot of activities and things to keep them occupied. We stayed for dinner, it was Christmas, and they let us eat there with her. The dining room was nice and spacious. They had plenty of helpers around to help the elderly that had difficult feeding themselves. The food was very good, as well. The staff was all very nice, seemed very competent. All in all, it was a very nice experience, and my great Aunt seemed very satisfied with the facilities, staff and activities. All of the other residents seemed happy as well. A lot of the residents were able just to wander and meander around, talk to folks, they seemed to enjoy that a lot. I would visit again. "

"Wilton Retirement Community was a very friendly place. They called us back when we left messages and they were always informative. The grounds were very nice and very well kept. There's a lot of greenery. The rooms were very spacious. The dining room looked very nice and they get three meals a day. They have something that they organize for the residents every day."

"The rooms at Leland Smith Assisted Living are very nice and clean. The whole facility is clean. Every staff member is helpful and do whatever is needed. Everybody is so caring there, even the residents. They have a library and a community room, a nice dining room, activities, good food, and a nice, safe shower. They have call systems that people wear around their necks like a necklace to call if they need help. "

"My father had a much better time in the hospital than in assisted living. In the assisted living center, they came and worked with him only a few hours each day, whereas in the hospital, they worked with him the majority of the day. Also, in the facility, there would be patients out walking the hallways in the middle of the night yelling at the top of their lungs, making it very hard to sleep. Overall, I would never use this assisted living facility in the future. "

"We choose Pioneer Place for my mother because it is close. She really likes it. Everything is really nice. She is in a little two-room apartment, and we have a lot of her furniture in there. The staff is really nice. They have a lot of activities for her. They have singing, and they go on trips now and then. They have physical therapy and speech therapy. She likes the food too. She is in the memory care facility, they have a very big dining room with a dining table, and they bring the food in there to eat. They a have buzzer on the door, and you have to punch in a code to get out. It is a very nice place, and they take excellent care of her. "

"My family member was a resident at Crestview on two separate occasions for rehabilitation. If the quality of the food is important to you then be warned. My family member is diabetic and avoids pasta, potatoes, and bread. There were many many servings of those items every day. We requested salads and would get one or two and that would be it. From the first time of our experience to several years later nothing had changed on the food front. All the same staff were involved and there was absolutely no improvement. When unfortunately another accident happened we went somewhere else where salads and switching out for healthier choices was possible. Crestview has this golden reputation in the area as the best place for our seniors. And if you don't mind your loved one having to be on more insulin because they prefer feeding them all the food that increases their need for it then this is the place to be. The staff is friendly and as helpful as possible. The facility when not in quarantine is fine with a lot of semi-private rooms. The food is extremely important to our loved one and thankfully we now know there are other places more accommodating. "

"I like the people and the accommodations. The apartments have a kitchenette, a living room, a bedroom, and a bathroom. They are spacious. The staff is good and accommodating. The sanitation is excellent, and the food is very good. The nurses are very kind and courteous."

"I have been in Good Samaritan for six months now, and they are wonderful. You get one meal a day, the food is always good, and they give you a lot of variety. It's very clean and well kept. The staff is exceptional. Once a week they have someone who comes in, cleans your countertops, cleans and vacuums your floors, and cleans your bathroom. Then you have a Lifeline that comes with your rent, and they pay all your utilities. It's expensive, but they give you a lot for it. However, I'm at that point where I have to get something a little bit less expensive because I'm still pretty young; I'm only 65, and all my money would be gone. Good Samaritan was recommended to me by other people, and I was not disappointed. My only concern is they don't have much in the way of activities. They're trying to build that back up but because of COVID, they couldn't do much. They have bingo, and on Mondays they have someone come in, read scriptures to them, play a guitar, and sing some songs. It is very well kept. They also have elevators. I use a walker, and I'm on the second floor, so I definitely needed something that I could use to go from floor to floor. It's a nice place, and I would recommend it to others, but it's very expensive. Also the people here are about twenty years older than I am, so there's no one here around my age. We got our shots of vaccines very early, which was great. They have a TV screen, a pool table, a little gym, and a beauty salon. My room is a two-bedroom, and the laundry room is down the hallway, so I could take my laundry down there. My bathroom has a walk-in shower, and it has safety bars, too. For me, it's very spacious and very nice."
