My mother is at Cedarhurst of Kenosha. They've got very friendly staff. They're very concerned about her care. They have a lot of activities. It's very clean. I would live there myself. They have bingo, exercise, and field trips where they go to some of the local stores, go grocery shopping, and do mind stimulating like word searches and crosswords. Everything is voluntary. They don't push anybody to play or do any of the stuff. They just encourage them to participate. They also have live music. They had a barbeque one time. It's reasonable.

Cedarhurst of Kenosha was super nice. When you walk in their doorway, it's very inviting. They have a fireplace and a nice spot for people to sit on. They have a nice library area and a wonderful craft area. You can tell that they do a lot of crafting with them. Their cheaper apartment was pretty nice. It had its own living room and a separate bedroom. Their bigger room was very nice, too. I loved all the rooms. It felt like you're in a hotel or you're staying someplace where it's not quite like regular assisted living. They are also going to be doing a lot of remodeling. The dining area was very nice. You can sit there and look outside. There are a lot of windows across from it. They did a lot of housekeeping and mopping when I was there. You can do the laundry yourself or they can do it for you. The lady was really nice and very concerned. They don't take Medicaid though. So, that might be a problem when somebody needs one, but she said that they try to work with people as much as they can.

My brother is doing very well at Cedarhurst of Kenosha. It's excellent. Everybody is nice and friendly. He got up a little bit the other day. They have him on speech therapy because he doesn't communicate well. Everything is going very well and the people are very nice and not rude. He's already improved. He's got assisted living. They address all his needs and they're very nice people. The dining area is like a restaurant. You got a choice of different food, and it was very good. I ate one meal there and a salad. You got to furnish your own furniture and we did. The rooms are small. It's the only thing I can say against it. It's got a little kitchen area and a bedroom. They're all small, but they're adequate. They have a barbershop and that's $10 for the barber. They'll do the drugs, but it's $400 a month. I order the drugs from the drugstore and I put the drugs in this container yesterday. It's nice and clean, and the staff is very nice. They have a whole list of activities they do every day.

It was pretty nice. They had a menu where you could choose your meal. I saw a 1-bedroom apartment with a kitchen and a bedroom. There were several floors in the building. When I got there, they were having lunch, so there wasn't any activity going on.

My mom is currently living here. The place is very clean. The staff seemed very friendly, and the residents are happy. There is a chapel on site, and those were all things that we thought added to the experience. The food is excellent, and she loves it. It is served restaurant style. You have your choice of a couple of different entrees, and there are always desserts. She also has a kitchen in her room if she wanted to fix something herself. With the activities, every night there's a movie. There's bingo a couple of times a week too. They have an onsite beautician so they can get haircuts and their nails done. Everything has been wonderful, and she likes it there a lot. They play cards and do crocheting. They also go on outings to store or sometimes out to lunch. They have their own van that takes them around. Everything is working out fine.
