However, when compared to communities of a similar size, the crime rate in Queens is lower than average, which may reassure safety-conscious seniors.
  • The air quality in Queens is mixed. The city received an A grade for particle pollution in the American Lung Association State of the Air Report. However, it received a failing grade for ozone pollution. Seniors who have respiratory concerns may want to talk to a professional about how this may impact their health.
