  • San Pedro’s water quality is slightly below the U.S. average. However, air quality is noticeably better. This is mainly due to the community’s location beside the Pacific Ocean. The community also excels at dealing with the causes of pollution, scoring an impressive 92/100 for its contributions towards the EPA’s Superfund program, which aims to respond rapidly to environmental emergencies and clean up contaminated land.
