Tony Vola, CSA

Lt. Col. Tony Vola, CSA, is the owner of Right at Home of Central Iowa, an in-home care and assistance agency that serves the Des Moines area. The United States Air Force retiree has provided in-home care for seniors and disabled individuals since March 2003. He became interested in senior care due to his experiences with his parents during his military career that resulted in several geographical separations. His father suffered from depression and dementia, placing tremendous caregiving demands on his mother.

He got involved with AARP and became Volunteer State President and a member of the Iowa AARP Board of Directors. He has advocated for seniors at the state and national levels and also has participated in healthcare discussions and town hall meetings with both of Iowa's U.S. senators. Vola earned his bachelor's degree in mathematics from Truman State University in Missouri, his master's degree in human resource management from the University of Utah, and is currently working toward an MBA in computer systems management at Creighton University in Nebraska.
