Rosa Hopkins, RN

Rosa Hopkins, RN, has worked in many different areas of nursing, including geriatric care, transplants, cardiac care, intensive care and emergency care, which gives her versatility and ample knowledge in several areas of healthcare. Hopkins moved from Puerto Rico to Virginia in 1992, with a desire to grow in her career. She started out as a CNA while she finished nursing school, and after completing a bachelor's in nursing, obtained her RN license.

Hopkins is a very unique individual who has spent over 22 years professionally serving others in healthcare. Shortly after coming to Virginia, she received the "Best Customer Service" Award from Sears. She also was nominated for John Randolph Hospital's prestigious First Humanitarian Award in 2007, and was the recipient of the Humanitarian Award from the Veterans of Foreign Wars for outstanding service to its Feed A Stranger program. After seeing firsthand the need for in-home healthcare in her own family as well as in the community, she began planning and preparation to become an entrepreneur. Hopkins decided to combine her experience in healthcare with the business experience and leadership of Right at Home of Prince George, an in-home care and assistance agency in Hopewell, Va.
