Email Marketing Manager
Job Description
Caring.com, part of the Bankrate family of companies, is the leading online destination for people faced with the day-to-day realities of caring for aging parents, spouses, or other loved ones. We provide much-needed information, emotional support, and access to local care resources.
We are seeking a creative, data-driven, goal-oriented email manager to own and optimize Caring’s multiple B2C and B2B email and newsletter strategies. You must be well-versed in email marketing best practices, including list hygiene, delivery, and performance optimization as well as have an eye for written and visual details.
Specific responsibilities
- Monitoring and improving email reputation
- Putting best practices into place to maintain a high sender score throughout all email channels
- Managing email calendar for sales, content, and current/future clients
- Working with clients to locate and build emails on deadline for campaign deployments
- Developing weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting on email performance
- Writing headlines and working with clients (internal and external) to execute best practices for email marketing for each campaign
- Working with third party email software provider for all email campaigns
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of experience in an email marketing role where you’ve been managing email campaigns from beginning to end.
- Proficiency in email marketing best practices for deliverability and reputation
- Good knowledge of regulations, like CAN-SPAM and CASL for compliance
- Knowledge of HTML within email
- Ability to see patterns in data and identify trigger words/campaigns that drive performance
- Experience wire-framing and designing email layouts is a plus
- Client services experience is a plus
- Please be ready to provide examples and explain past emails you've built, designed, and/or executed

This is a full time, on-site position in our San Mateo office.
